In the past few days WikiLeaks has published over 90000 secret documents regarding the war in Afghanistan conveniently covering the years from 2002 to 2009 when Bush was in charge. Bush is widely regarded to be intellectually challenged while Mr. Obama is reckoned to be very intelligent. It seems a tad surprising that so many secret Pentagon documents regarding an ongoing war can be so easily revealed without a huge hue and cry when we just seen the farce surrounding the so called Russian spies. Disinformation has always been a legitimate instrument in wars and Obama is fighting on many fronts. There are the midterm polls in November widely believed to be for the Republicans to win. There is the commitment to get out of Afghanistan starting next year. There is Iran which is racing ahead with its program to build nuclear weapons. Although 90000 seems to be an awfully large number it must be only a fraction of reports generated over 8 years. So have these documents been selectively ' leaked ' and if so why? To put pressure on the Republicans by showing that it was George Bush who lost the war against the Taliban? To prepare the ground for withdrawing troops from Afghanistan? To prepare for a strike on Iran? How they are going to react against the ISI and Pakistan, who are clearly implicated in supplying arms and training to the Taliban, is unclear. Only a few days back Hillary Clinton was in that country promising more aid. Possibly Obama has marginalised her and the State Department and is playing a deep game. However, he must remember that these are mad dogs and you can never predict what they will do. Is he being too clever?

Amit Shah, who resigned from his post as a minister in the BJP government in Gujarat, was arrested yesterday for the killing of one Sohrabuddin by the police in an allegedly fake encounter. Apart from the fact that he is Hindu while the dead man was from the so called ' Minority ' community it is difficult to understand why the Congress is so keen to go after him. When Sukhram is free, Sajjan Kumar is enjoying life, Manu Sharma got parole to attend nightclubs and Andersen was escorted out of the country as a VIP why is the Congress so keen on the death of one man. This is the same Congress that goes to Pakistan ' on bended knees ' and is sent back with a sandal across the face just 18 months after the Mumbai massacre. The truth is in the Congress admission that now they will go for Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujarat. As the most successful syndicate in the world the Congress hates Modi because he is relatively honest and has engineered a remarkable economic growth in Gujarat while next door Maharashtra is bankrupt and farmers keep committing suicide and the central government is seen to be protecting thieves and dross. But why is the BJP not defending one of its own more vigorously? It is because the states controlled by the BJP are equally corrupt and Modi is proving to be an embarrassment. When Gen Khanduri demanded strict honesty in Uttarakhand property dealers, contractors and civil servants revolted so BJP asked him to step down. Modi, on the other hand, has a very strong base in Gujarat and cannot be shifted easily. All politicians in the world are corrupt but have some sharam and izzat. Not the ones in India.

After a two year investigation The Washington Post has published a series of articles under the heading of ' Top Secret America.' In this they have exposed how the intelligence services in the US have expanded by more than 60% since 9/11 so that it has become too huge to be effective. A lot of intelligence work is outsourced to private companies who are making vast amounts of money. There are 1271 government agencies and 1931 private companies in 10000 locations across the US employing 854000 people of which 265000 are contractors. This behemoth generates so much intelligence that analysts filed 50000 reports last year which, naturally, no one had time to read. This is why they failed to pick up Al Mutallab, the underwear bomber, even though intelligence coming out of Yemen indicated that a man was being trained for a suicide attack and his own father reported the strange behavior of his son and his fears that his son had turned into a terrorist. Criminal Indian politicians and useless civil servants will be delighted with this report. Now they can claim that if the mighty US can be so sloppy how can we expect any better from our lot. Of course they missed out on Kargil and Mumbai and Best Bakery and Headley and Naxals and Bangladeshis and on and on but, hey, the US missed Al Mutallab and Hassan. Also we have over a billion people with millions of Bangladeshis flooding in everyday so who cares if a few hundred or a few thousand or a few million die. Just as over 60 people died in the Sinthia train accident while the Railways Minister was playing in Bengal. Shit happens. In India it happens everyday.

Hugo Chavez of Venezuela has broken off diplomatic relations with Columbia giving the Columbian ambassador just 72 hours to get out of Caracas. The reason? Columbia produced evidence of Venezuela sheltering left wing Farc guerrillas on its territory and giving them material help. Chavez has forcibly taken over 20% of the opposition television station and has appointed a director on its board because he does not want the people to know of his extremely corrupt misrule. Abhisit Vejjajiva, who was never elected Prime Minister of Thailand, ordered the army to shoot Red Shirt protesters to death. Educated in Eton and Oxford you can see the utter lack of comprehension on his face when asked about grievances of the poor people. He is suffering from the ' let them eat cake ' disease and thinks mass murder is justified maybe because, being extremely wealthy, he has come to believe that the poor are disposable. North Korea is threatening to use nuclear weapons against joint exercises by US and South Korean forces. This demented regime is clinging on to power despite its population slowly dying of malnutrition. It is hard to imagine the suffering of people as they watch their children crying of hunger and slowly dying without food. Some try to escape to China and thence to the south but most are trapped. In Greece, Spain, Ireland, Iceland governments presided of huge asset bubbles fueled by easy debt and are now asking the people to bear the consequences. No matter what the political system those in power seem able to do whatever they like. We, the people do not matter.

Racketeering, prostitution, drug smuggling, money laundering, gambling syndicates, teenage gangs are crimes that other countries fight against. All this is child's play compared to the political gangs in India who control all criminal activities and the police as well. Qadir Rana, a MP of BSP party, is a director of Rana Steels which was found to be stealing power during a raid in Muzzafarnagar. Not surprisingly BSP has strongly denied this. Abdul Qayyum Sahikh who was deported from Dubai for the murder of Gulshan Kumar walked free because of lack of evidence. Avinash Bhosale, a builder based in Pune, was allowed to buy a 12 acre government owned plot in Navi Mumbai for just Rs. 10 million and sold off half the property half the property after a month for Rs. 2.75 billion. Wildlife activist, Amit Jethwa was shot dead outside Gujarat High Court couple of days ago. His dad has openly blamed BJP MP, Dinu Solanki because Jethwa was investigating his illegal mining activities. The Supreme Court says that 99% of private and government colleges do not have adequate infrastructure. ' They are just like shops fleecing money from the students and not bothering about their future.' Needless to say politicians control government colleges and many are owners of private ones. Railway Minister, Mamata Bannerjee, was electioneering in Kolkata while cremations of more than 60 people killed in the Sinthia train accidents were starting. She has alleged opponents of engineering the accident to win the coming state assembly elections. These are just today's news. Forget Enron, Cosa Nostra, Columbian drugs gangs. Politicians in India are the KINGS of crime in the whole world. And they control the police.

Two members of the disgraced French football team, Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema, are being investigated for having paid sex with a 17 year old girl in April 2009. In France paying a girl under the age of 18 years for sex is considered as having sex with a minor. The girl denies being a prostitute but admits to having been paid for providing sex. Apparently Ribery invited her to Munich on his 26th birthday. Ribery's lawyer claims that she had told them that she was twenty years old. Today's teenagers look bigger and more mature than, say, twenty years ago and no one asks a prostitute for a birth certificate anyway so there might be something in Ribery's defence. Whatever be the truth of the matter it is shocking that child had taken to prostitution. If she is a minor according to French law then who was responsible for her? Why was she not protected by her parents? How could she travel unaccompanied out of the country even though there is no border restriction between France and Germany under the Schengen rules? In the developing world children are abducted or sold into prostitution by destitute parents. Western pedophiles come to Asia for sex tourism and the internet is said to be full of children being sexually assaulted. However even in the so called advanced countries children are not safe. Television commercials, the glorification of sex in the news media and the laxity of parental control are leading to a loss of childhood which is a crime against children. The joy of childhood is in its innocence. By taking the most joyful time of life away from our children we may be responsible for all the crime and violence that we face.

Couple of days back an express train travelling at over 90 kmph hit the back of another standing at Sainthia station in West Bengal with such force that one of the carriages was catapulted on to an overhead walkway. More than 60 people died. The runaway train had made a perfect if unscheduled stop at the previous station only some 8 km before. The experienced driver and his assistant were found dead sitting in their respective positions and had made no attempt to slow the train down or apply brakes. The train is said to have been going at 90 kmph on a 30 kmph stretch and had jumped several red signals. One theory is that both drivers had been drugged at at the previous station, the throttle had been opened fully and the assailants jumped out as the train started to gather momentum. Criminals would not carry out such an act of wanton destruction with no gain. Naxals usually blow up tracks leading to derailment. The railway minister hints at political sabotage. So could politicians carry out mass murder to win the state elections? The frightening fact is that it is entirely possible. Indian politicians exceed the mafia, drug cartels and corrupt businessmen in criminality. Winning an election, even at state level, gives control of trillions of rupees and the power to use it for personal pleasure. Whereas all other criminals are viewed as enemies of society and have to stay in fear of the police politicians actually control the police and hence are completely above the law as case after case has proved. Even if one is caught redhanded it takes years for the case to get to court and by the time the case is heard evidence has disappeared, witnesses have been threatened into silence and investigators have been transferred or have retired. Sajjan Kumar, Pappu Yadav, Reddy brothers, different gangs but brothers in crime. The entire Indian state is a criminal enterprise. Incredible India.

Another decade of Congress terror and their will be no Hindu left in India. In a case called the Malegaon blasts case Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Lt Col Prasad Purohit and seven others have been charged under something called MCOCA which are draconian laws under which only Hindus are charged for so called ' terrorism ' against so called ' Minorities.' No matter that the said Minorities are breeding like rats and are probably equal or more in number. No matter that holy places like Haridwar and Rishikesh are being flooded by Minorities who are buying up expensive properties and by Bangladeshis pouring in in their hundreds of thousands. Hindus are to be denied bail but the Best Bakery accused walks free because he is a Minority. Perhaps the most terror attacks against Indians is by the state. Rathore used the police force, paid for by the taxpayers for their own protection, to hound a teenage girl, that he had molested, to suicide. He has been sentenced to a derisory 18 months in jail but is still fighting.Manu Sharma, who murdered Jessica Lal for a drink, was allowed out on parole to enjoy in nightclubs. Sukhram is still out on bail 25 years after being caught redhanded with stolen money. Billions of rupees were spent by the CBI for enjoyable trips abroad but Quattrochi remains free. Andersen was escorted out of the country like a VIP after the biggest mass murder this country has seen. Pappu Yadav is absconding after being granted bail. Known criminals are given tickets to stand for parliament because they have the money and gang power to win. When in the middle east I was repeatedly told by Arabs that India will become a Muslim country by 2030. With Congress help it will surely come to pass.

Talk to anyone living in Delhi and they will moan about the endless torture they have been enduring in the name of the useless Commonwealth Games. Those who can aford it are making plans to leave the city during the entire period of the games while taxi and auto drivers say they will not go anywhere near the stadiums. The strange thing is that no one protests. In any other country there would have been street protests against the callous way in which roads have been dug up and the savage increase in taxes. But not here. For centuries the people of Delhi have been complicit in crimes committed against the country. Any warlord that invaded India, from Tughlak to Babar to the British based their capitals in Delhi because they found a population willing to help in the subjugation of the rest of India for a share of the spoils. In all the countries that I have visited, including the barbaric middle east, I have never seen a people so ready to tell lies and to indulge in criminal activities to make money. In other countries young people are rebels willing to challenge the authorities for ideals. Not here. Here the college going boys and girls are shallow and mindless. Their days are spent in hanging around in coffee shops or shopping malls engaged in useless banter or chatting on brain destroying cell phones. Flush with cash which come from the black money earned by their parents they think nothing of buying a pair of jeans for a few thousand rupees only because some stupid actress wears the same brand. They neither know nor think nor care about the country, its people or the destruction being wrought by criminal politicians and thieving civil servants. After all their parents are of the same ilk and their spending money comes from loot. Thus Delhi has been and still is the city of betrayal.

Sunday, July 18, 2010

The taxi driver was of the opinion that they will never finish on time. He meant all the infrastructure work going on in Delhi for the most useless Commonwealth Games to be held in two months time. Already some leading athletes, such Usain Bolt, have said they will not be competing. Others will cancel if there is the slightest terrorist attack anywhere in India just before the games. Meanwhile the same work has been done more than once and yet the results look shoddy. Roads have been laid and relaid and still they are wavy. The dividers look crooked. Perfectly straight lampposts were uprooted and new ones erected leaning drunkenly to one side. Everything is decided on whim. Now suddenly it has been decided that overhead electric cables should be buried underground. Hugely crowded shopping areas like Karol Bagh and Connaught Place have been dug up resulting in total traffic chaos. Shopkeepers are making huge losses as customers stay away. Taxpayers money is being wasted on an unprecedented scale as taxes are being raised on everything from petrol to beer. So where is all this money going? Obviously criminal politicians, thieving civil servants and their friendly contractors have made tens of billions in cash. What is the evidence that these bandits are looting like never before? It is in the 600% rise in prices of property since 2002. In India half the price of any property is paid in cash and this the best hiding place for criminal loot. Once the useless games are over roads will develop potholes, car parks will break and eletric cables will probably be dug up again. What about the people of Delhi who will have suffered endless inconveniences and loss of money? They can go to hell. After all Delhi also has a Congress government.

Why does the Congress want to destroy India? Time after time they have betrayed the people and the brave soldiers of India by converting victories against Pakistan into total surrender. Starting with Nehru who would not give General Cariappa 24 hours to rid Kashmir of infiltrators to Lal Bahadur Shastri and Tashkent to Indira Gandhi and Shimla talks to Rajiv Gandhi who would not allow refuelling for Israeli jets to strike Pakistan's nuclear reactors. Now the government has been hit across the face with a filthy Pakistani chappal when the Foreign Minister was insulted and taunted by Paki Foreign Minister. Following this humiliation a unnamed source has said that India did not have the ' luxury of not talking to its neighbours.' Sorry, but you do not talk to rabid dogs. You just shoot the bastards. Since first of January this year a Congress licking newspaper has been running full page ads called ' Aman ki Asha ' in which it was advocating building up loving relationships with Pakistanis with a view to a full relationship with the government. This lying rag was glowing in its list of benefits to India. Was it building up to a sell out of the country by the Congress as in the past? Thank God the Pakis are rabid dogs frothing with hatred and they have sent the Forign Minister packing with a kick on a soft spot. This just a year after the attacks on Mumbai. You do not get peace by being craven foot licking cowards and by betraying the brave soldiers who have sacrificed their lives time after time. You get peace by killing ten dogs for everyone Indian killed. You get peace when they respect and fear you. It is not our enemies who are the greatest threat to this country. It is our criminal politicians and the thieving civil servants.

Coming to Delhi by train I see this woman lying on the filthy floor of the station concourse. She did not look like a beggar woman but like someone waiting for a late train. Naturally she was dirty. By her side in the dirt lay five dirty children, obviously comfortable with their mother. The government has decided to bring in a law that will make it a criminal offence for parents to hit their children. Children will be allowed to take their parents to court for cruelty as in the US. For a first offence the punishment will be a fine of Rs. 5000 and prison for one year and for a second offence a fine of Rs. 25000 and prison for up to 3 years. Very laudable. Sadly India is the world leader in crimes against children. It is a crime to give birth to children when you cannot give them quality food, clothing and shelter. It is a crime not to give them quality education. It is a crime to send little children out to work to enjoy their income. It is a crime to abort girls fetuses. It is a crime to sell daughters to pimps for some extra money. It is a crime to marry off girls as little as five years old. It is a crime to deny medical care to children in pain because of reluctance to spend drink money. All these crimes and more against children are happening every minute in India quite openly but the criminal politicians choose to ignore them because they want legions of illiterate undernourished humanoids who will vote for them for cheap rice or a cheap sari at taxpayers' expense. Cruelty to vulnerable innocent children in any form is abhorrent so it must be wiped out. To do that we have to give children the very basic right NOT to be born. Sadly this bill is intended to punish only the middle class because the Congress hates and fears the educated middle class. That is why it has launched a campaign of punitive taxes and vindictive laws to take us back to 1950-1990 when the Congress controlled every aspect of daily life. Keep the people poor and illiterate and they will bow to the ground for a kilo of rotting rice. The Congress desperately wants such control.

Seems that senior BJP leader Mr. LK Advani met the most revered Finance Minister, Mr. Mukherjee last week and wanted the Congress to introduce a bill mandating fixed terms for the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. He offered full support of the opposition if such a bill is introduced. This is terrifying. If both government and opposition gangs of politicians are united behind such a proposition then it has to be suicidal for the country. If you have different gangs wanting power so that they are free to loot the people then you expect them to be fighting each other like street dogs in a garbage dump. If they are suddenly getting all lovey dovey and cooperative then that has to be the worst news any Indian wants to hear. As an Indian citizen I would like my opinion to be taken into account. 1. There should be a referendum on the subject and people like us should be allowed to address the public. 2. If there is to be fixed terms so that a bunch of scoundrels is entrenched for a number of years then there should be fixed terms for all elected criminals. This will mean that anyone can be an MP or an MLA for only two terms and no more. 3. We must have citizens corporations without any criminal politician or thieving civil servant to protect the interest of the people. 4. At every elections there will be a question on the performance of the previous government and if the people give poor marks the previous politicians will be forced to return every paisa spent on his or her expense. 5. We must have a district attorney system to investigate crimes properly. Police and CBI must be independent. Will words stop the criminals? Who knows?

After the great Russian spy swap farce we now have a real puzzle. Fellow called Shahram Amiri who was a researcher at Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation went missing in June 2009 while on a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. Now a fellow of the same name has surfaced in the Pakistani Embassy in the US claiming to have been kidnapped and wanting to go home. The US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has said that he had been visiting the US voluntarily and is free to go back to Iran. In between there have been videos showing Amiri lookalikes claiming that he had been kidnapped by US agents and tortured, that he was studying in the US of his own accord and a third one in which claims to have escaped US custody and was in hiding. News reports claim that he has given extensive information about Iran's nuclear program. Many interesting theories come to mind. 1. It may be that he was indeed kidnapped and given a taste of water boarding. 2. He may have defected to the US and then has been forced to change his mind to protect his family. As Iranian he will be acutely aware of what the regime does to its opponents. This very Islamic Republic condemns women to death by stoning for adultery on very flimsy evidence and Ahmadinejad denied there is homosexuality in Iran but uses rape, both straight and homosexual, for punishing opponents. So Amiri might be wanting to return to save his family. 3. It is also possible that he was sent by Iran to feed wrong information to the Americans like Ahmed Chalabi did to get the US to kill Saddam Hussein who was feared and hated by Iran. Perhaps whether he lives or dies in Iran may give us a clue.

It is the time of the year to file tax returns. To avoid any hassle you pay an accountant to file it properly for you and pay whatever additional tax he thinks you should. Naturally you pay him. Not enough. You have to pay service tax on his bill which means that you are paying tax to pay tax. How did this perversion come about? Since the Congress came to power it has made it its mission to suck the blood of all Indians. Now they have levied service tax on the rent retailers pay for their shops. Rent is an expense and the owner of the property has to pay income tax on the rent he gets. So this is clearly double taxation. During the dispute between the Ambani brothers the government said that oil and gas belongs to the government. Not to the people but to the government. That is gas under the ground. What about gas above the ground? Does the air belong to this bandit government as well? Why not tax the oxygen we breathe? In this plethora of service taxes the government is missing out on the most obvious ones. Breast feeding is the most important service in all our lives. Levy a service tax on each child to be paid by the parents or when the child grows up. Also a service tax on looking after old parents because that is very hard work. Cremating a dead body is definitely a service so 12.5% on cremation except for those with BPL cards. If we pray to God and he grants our boon than that is most definitely a service so a service tax on God as well. Who needs criminals when the state is engaged in brutal extortion and exploitation that not even the Moghuls and the British dared to inflict on us. Dangerous parasites.

Final thoughts on the shameful football World Cup. 1. The Jabulani ball was a disaster. Barely half a dozen goals were scored directly from free kicks. Top players kept shooting way up into the sky. 2. The standard of refereeing was absolutely rock bottom. The Dutch thugs were beating up opponents and feigning injury since the beginning, especially against Japan, Brazil and Spain, yet not one player was sent off until the second half of extra time yesterday that is after 650 minutes of football. This English ref, Harold Webb seems to see less than a person with mature cataracts in both eyes. He was single handedly instrumental in the Swiss victory over Spain when he refused to show yellow cards despite persistent foul play by the Swiss cynically upending any Spanish player who had the ball. Yesterday De Jong should have been shown a straight red for going in with his studs into the chest of Xabi Alonso but he got only a yellow. Seems that every effort was made to make it third time lucky for the Netherlands but Spain just managed to hang on. FIFA is an autonomous body making enormous amounts of money from fans of football all over the world. Football is a people's game played by legions of poor all over the world. It is time that FIFA is seriously investigated and controls exercised over it. Perhaps it could be put under the control of UNESCO so that the money could be invested in education. 3. Del Bosque was the coach of Real Madrid where he won the Serie A and Champions League several times. Yet he was thrown out for no obvious reason since when Real have not won anything. Yesterday he won the World Cup and showed how stupid Real were.

India is probably among a very small group of countries where the Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI has to seek permission to arrest a thieving civil servant. The CBI wants to proceed against fellow called SI Patel of the National Highway Authority or NHAI for awarding road building contracts to certain private contracts. The NHAI wants to see attested copies of documents seized by the CBI before deciding whether permission will be given to CBI for proceeding with the case. As is usual, Patel is not the only one in CBI radar. He was probably sharing the loot with several others for protection which is now being provided by his colleagues. When the has inbuilt protection for thieves is it any wonder that virtually all civil servants are filthy crooks? However, does a similar law grant such protection to innocent citizens? Absolutely not. How can you protect criminals if citizens were protected by the police? One Mr. SM Varghese filed a complaint against a company, Jay Polyester alleging money laundering, circular trading in diamonds and other financial irregularities. You would think that a country suffering regular terrorist attacks would value such a whistle blower and reward him but no. Punjab Police are after Mr. Varghese who has fled to Singapore. Punjab Police actually went to Kochi, Kerala to arrest Mr. Varghese's elderly mother who obtained bail from Kerala High Court and is now hiding in fear. The police then went to Mumbai and picked up an acquaintance, who suffers from HIV, took him to Punjab and tortured him. When the government is the worst enemy of the people what can people do except fight back. Hence the Naxals.

Probably to relieve the stress caused by the recession, obstinate unemployment and the massive oil spill the US government treated us to a great farce called the ' great spy exchange.' Ten people of Russian origin were arrested for spying on the US for many years. Most of these people lived in nice suburbs, owned homes, had jobs and even had children born in the US. The charge was that they were exchanging coded messages written in secret ink using drop boxes. Something out of a 40 year old John le Carre novel. Messages such as, ' Did you meet the terminator in California? No, the elephant's bum is bigger.' These people were probably illegal immigrants living comfortably without permit. They were rounded up and used as hostages to free four real spies from Russia who were all Russians, three were in Russian secret services and one a scientist. None of the ten wanted to leave the US but were threatened into confession because of their illegal status and then thrown out. Truth is that the country which is really spying on the US is China. Even US government officials say that China has large numbers of spies in the US, most engaged in stealing industrial secrets. One fellow was passing secrets from the top secret nuclear research lab at Los Alamos. China has no respect for US patents and intellectual property rights allowing citizens to pirate movies, music and software and to sell fakes of every known luxury brand. Yet the US dares not flex its muscle with China because China has accumulated $ 2 trillion and continues to buy US securities. Without Chinese support the dollar would sink without trace. To see the mighty US cowering in fear!

Seems that a company based in California, USA called Control Component Inc which makes valves has been bribing government owned companies in India. Among them BHEL, NTPC, Bhilai Electric and Mahrashtra and Haryana State Electricity Boards. What the freeloading press is trying to hide is that you cannot bribe a company, you bribe individuals. Apparently the company pleaded guilty before a US court of bribing people in 36 countries to win lucrative contracts. All Indian politicians are criminals and about 99.99% of the uncivil servants are thieves but since they control the police and the investigating agencies the citizens of India are powerless to give them just punishment. Criminal politicians even contest elections from prison while being on trial for murder as Amarmani Tripathi did. The best example of our criminal justice system or complete lack thereof is the news that Mr. Sajjan Kumar will be charged with the murder of one person in the anti Sikh riots of 1984. That was 26 years ago just before the Union Carbide tragedy in Bhopal. Everyone knows that nothing is going to come of this case because Mr. Sajjan Kumar is of the Congress and the Congress knows how to protect its murderers to protect any stain coming on The Family. Meanwhile our most revered Prime Minister of the Congress visited Kanpur whereupon the whole city was locked down resulting in the death of an 8 year old boy because his family was unable to take him to hospital. The family will probably not dare to sue the police and the Prime Minister out of terror because as everyone knows the Congress bleeds for the aam aadmi.

It was billed as the World Cup for Africa but is turning out to be the greatest humiliation for black Africa. We now know that Spain will be playing the Netherlands for the trophy on sunday and the Dutch speaking Afrikaners will be cheering for the Netherlands, the country of their ancestors. We do not know what has been decided? Will it be a case of third time lucky for Netherlands or will Spain be allowed to win the very first time they have managed to reach the final. Will the blacks be cheering for a Spanish victory? Come what may Mr. Jacob Zuma, who prides himself on his Zulu origins, will have to present medals to the Dutch team and may even have to hand over the cup itself. There is bound to be talk of integration, of racial harmony in the Rainbow nation and of how South Africa staged the biggest sporting festival in the world but the Afrikaner will not see it that way. For the white Afrikaner it will be proof of superiority of the Dutch over the blacks none of whom, except Ghana, could get past the group stage. It will not matter that this Netherlands team is a team of thugs committing dangerous fouls against opponents all of which went unpunished. What will matter is that the President who was dancing at his fourth ( or was it his fifth ) wedding a few months ago will be hanging medals around the necks of the people who are of the same stock as the people who confined Mr. Zuma's people into Bantustans only allowing them to come to white suburbs to work as servants. The murder of Eugene Terreblanch is still fresh in their minds and how they will enjoy. It was indeed a well organised World Cup.

About a month back a small news item reported that the Central Bureau of Direct Taxes, CBDT or income tax fellows are planning to brain wash our children on the advantages of paying taxes. They will target 10 to 18 year olds to teach them the ' need for taxation in civil society.' They want to teach children about the ' rationale for taxes, how the government raises revenue and spends it, role of government in society ' and other such laudable topics. All this stuff will be included in the syllabuses from class 5 through to 12. Question is, will they tell the truth or will they be feeding our children some romantic garbage about the collection and spending of taxes in India? Will they tell the children that they will be paying the highest rates of taxes in the world when they grow up? Will they be honest about the fact that after paying so much of their hard earned money they will not get any services from the government? That criminal politicians and thieving uncivil servants will steal more than half the money. That criminal politicians are allowed to travel with fat ugly wives, drug taking criminal children, servants, friends and relatives for free at our expense. That criminal politicians are allowed free rail passes for life. That the police are a bunch of criminal enforcers in uniform who will protect criminal politicians as in Bofors and child molesters like Rathore. That once you have cast your vote for whichever criminal sleazeball who has been allotted a ticket you will be irrelevant till the next elections come along. That the government will waste your money on useless shows such as the Commonwealth Games. Our innocent children will not be told the truth. Instead they will be fed garbage until they grow up and are sickened by the truth. That is how Naxals are formed.

There has been a lot of hue and cry lately by what is know as ' honor killings ' especially in the Hindi belt. Young men and women have been killed for intercaste marriage or for marrying within the same ' gotra.' Only Hindus will understand the meaning of gotra which is a kind of ' house ' like they have in schools. It is forbidden to marry within the same gotra as it is to marry outside one's caste. It may seem confusing but is really simple. Since one is supposed to marry within the same caste one should not marry within the same gotra to prevent consanguineous marriage with all the genetic problems that leads to. Staying in the same village young people have been unable to stop falling in love and marrying within the same gotra thus incurring the wrath of the village council or ' khap.' The pro Congress, anti Hindu press has been frothing on about honor killing, crime against women, the curse of the patriarchal system, blah blah blah without researching the real reasons for these crimes. The real reason is the division of Hindus according to caste started by the Congress after independence and carried on by all other criminal politicians to win votes. Thus Hindus are divided into Scheduled Caste ( traditionally untouchables ), Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes or OBCs. These people are given preference for seats in elite colleges even with very low marks, get good government jobs and promotions even though patently unfit. A couple of years ago there were pitched battles between Gujjars and Meenas in Rajasthan over getting ST status. So called minorities get bail easily after killing Hindus. Since minorities are already slaughtering us what does it matter if we kill each other?

Today was all India bandh day. The strike was called by opposition parties to protest the rise in prices of petrol. As is usual the strike will be patchy allowing both opposition and government to claim victory. Businesses will suffer losses in areas controlled by opposition parties where thugs armed with sticks and stones will be out in force to prevent people from going to work and shops from opening up. Daily wage earners will lose a whole day's wages. The tragedy for the country is that all politicians from all parties are dishonorable liars. The government is lying when it says that it has merely removed subsidies on petrol when they are charging 100% taxes on every liter and the opposition is lying when it claims that the strike is being called in the interest of the people. Truth is that petrol is taxed by both central and state governments so in states controlled by opposition parties they are the criminals responsible for the high prices. So why is the Congress dominated government so adamant about increasing the prices of fuel? The reason is that the government is nearly bankrupt. The lying freeloading press is keen to point out that our foreign exchange reserves are in excess of $ 250 billion but it is the internal debt that is out of control. Instead of a tax refund, which is a one off expense for the treasury, the Congress chose to give 80% pay rises to useless, thieving civil servants to win last year's elections and is now unable to manage its debts. UP is said to owe Rs. 1.8 trillion which is set to rise to Rs. 1.98 trillion this fiscal. The state power distribution companies have huge losses on their books. What other debts are being hidden from us who knows. When will the lies explode into the open and what the people will have to suffer only God knows. Or maybe even He doesn't.

Most Indians are devastated at the defeats of Brazil and Argentina at the football World Cup. Now that we know the semi finalists it is time to indulge in some conspiracy theories. Brazil is the only country to have won the World Cup in Europe and that was back in 1958 when they beat Sweden in the final. After that it seemed decided that no country will win outside its own continent. Thus european teams won in Europe while South American teams won on their own continent. In the 2002 finals in Japan and Korea there was no asian team good enough to be made to win the Cup so Brazil won for the fifth time. Last time we reverted to norm in Germany where the final was between France and Italy with Italy winning on penalties. This time the World Cup is in Africa and again there is no African team which is really good enough to be champions so this time it seems to have been decided that it is Europe's turn. I had a premonition so did not see the Brazil game. Seems that Brazil were one goal up in the first half and completely lost it in the second half which is impossible to believe. It would not be so bad except that it was against Holland, a cynical, brutal, calculating team of thugs. They are said to play a ' pragmatic ' game. In reality they play ugly. The way they beat up the Japanese is unforgettable. Yet not a single red card. Uruguay has been allowed to progress to be cannon fodder for the Dutch so they are sure to be in the finals. Maradonna has gone with six forwards. Yet against the Germans they could not even get near the 18 yard line. Normally effervescent Maradonna stood passively as if he knew the result beforehand. In the land of Afrikaans and apartheid is it Holland's turn to lift the trophy. Fantastic irony.

Seems that Finland has made it a legal right for every citizen to have access to broadband at 1 mbps and has promised to increase it to 100 mbps by 2015. In India we do not have the right to a continuous stable supply of electricity even though the price keeps increasing. In 1971 during the war in East Pakistan, what is now Bangladesh people in Calcutta were advised to place thick curtains on the windows and to switch off all lights if the warning siren sounded. This was called black out and was in fear of being bombed by Pakistanis. In the event the siren never sounded and we had our lights on throughout the war. Now we have black outs at any time of the day or night and completely without warning. However, it is not called black out but is euphemistically called ' load shedding.' The black out may last from a few minutes to 24 hours. Phoning the electricity department is of no use because the disconnect all phones and sit around happily drinking tea. Who cares if the food in your refrigerator spoils and you suffer financial loss? Who cares if a person with a broken leg has to wait for hours in agony because no XRay can be done? Shops selling frozen foods or ice cream cannot suffer the loss of throwing out their stock so they let the food thaw inside their freezers and refreeze when electric supply is resumed. This results in severe gastroenteritis in people, especially children who love eating ice cream in summer. Obviously poor people suffer much more because they go to cheaper places while the middle class select more expensive shops with power backup. If only we could gather all criminal politicians and thieving civil servants in one shed and leave them without any electricity for a month. Lovely thought.

It has become almost a crime to be a Hindu in India. Criminal politicians have created an environment of hate against Hindus with a view to be seen as ' secular ' and get the votes of so called minorities who are already some 25% of the population and breeding like rats so that they outnumber Hindus in a couple decades. Lying freeloading journalists constantly equate Hindus with the Taliban and write hate articles. Even the courts seem to have been influenced. Thus a fast court convicts a Hindu for Kandhmal riots and sentences him to jail but another court grants bail to a Muslim implicated in the Best Bakery bomb case. Hinduism is secular. Since no one has seen what God looks like and it is doubtful if he is a white haired man with a flowing beard we have many Gods and Godesses. Yet Hindus never fight among each other saying that my God is greater than yours. We do not fight wars because we do not convert others and do not go to heaven by killing or converting kafirs and heathens. One God fellows have been fighting and massacring each other and ' non believers ' for thousands of years. They claim to worship the same God but differ in who their prophets are. Prophets appeared at different times in the past and preached to the people. They did not write down their words. Their words were written down, often after many years, from the recollections of their followers. Prophets were human and so must have suffered from human conditions such as constipation or a pimple on the bum. However to make their religions credible prophets are worshiped as perfect and no one is allowed to question the written word on pain of death. This makes it easy for them to kill infidels. We Hindus do not want to kill or convert. Please do not kill or convert us. Just leave us alone to choose our own hell or heaven.

Slyly and hoping no one would notice the government has added a 10.3% Service Tax on air tickets. Domestic passengers will have to pay upto a maximum of Rs. 103 and passengers for foreign flights have to pay upto a maximum of Rs. 515. Already air travel is horrendously taxed in India. Taxes are calculated on the original price of the ticket so even if an airline is offering tickets at low prices the added taxes make them unaffordable. Then there are airport taxes which are mandatory. Taxes on fuel can be anywhere upto 30% adding enormous tax burdens on airlines. Criminal politicians do not allow domestic airlines to show the breakdown of various costs in the prices of tickets so that passengers remain ignorant of the fact that they are being looted but on foreign flights taxes and fees are clearly shown to be equal to the basic price of the ticket. This makes air travel too expensive for some 95% of the people. However 5% of one billion is 50 million which is about equal to the entire population of Great Britain. The lying freeloading press is thus able to headline that air travel is booming in the country. This has been the winning strategy of the Congress gang since independence. Classify cars, air travel, restaurants, multiplexes as luxury and tax them so heavily that they are out of reach of the ordinary people. Then beat your breasts about the hardship of the aam aadmi, dole out animal grade food grains at subsidised rates at taxpayer expense and get votes of a populace still locked into bullock cart age. If only we could tell the cattle class people to stop being aam and demand to be khas perhaps, just perhaps, we could get rid of the filth.

Seems that the Prime Minister's Office, PMO has written to the Department of Telecom, DoT to transfer all licensing issues regarding 2G and 3G to an empowered Group of Ministers, eGoM. This was done with the consent of the Prime Minister and has effectively taken away all powers from the Minister of Telecommunications, Mr. Raja. Mr. Raja arbitrarily awarded 2G licenses to two companies ignoring the suggestion of auctioning the licenses by the Prime Minister. The companies sold their licenses making billions of rupees. There are allegations of a scam worth billions of rupees and the recent auction of 3G licenses indicates that the government may have lost Rs. 1 trillion in fees and taxes. While the people of the country are being hit by a double whammy of increasing taxes and inflation Mr. Raja, his friends and officers of DoT are able to get away after making billions by defrauding the government. Now the Prime Minister has shown his mistrust of Mr. Raja openly by taking away his powers. In any civilised country in the world Mr. Raja would have been sacked and serious investigations instituted. Not here. The Congress needs support of various gangs to stay in power and if sacking Mr. Raja results in new elections the troops will be unhappy. The only way to wealth is by accumulating loot which can only be done if you are in power. Will Mr. Raja resign at the insult which is akin to a public slap on his face. No chance. If he resigns he will get no further opportunities to enrich himself. Take all the insults and shoes across the face and hang in there. Opportunities will come. After all public memory is short. No sharam, no izzat.

Seems that a high powered committee has found 44 deemed universities to be unfit. Of these 29 were granted their status between 2007 and 2009 when Mr. Arjun Singh was the HRD minister. In some cases the order granting deemed status came directly from the minister's office. This is being reported as a scam by the HRD ministry with Mr. Arjun Singh in charge. What is not being said is that Mr. Arjun Singh was and is a Congress man and was HRD minister in a government led by the Congress during those years with the present Prime Minister, Mr. Manmohan Singh in charge. Are we expected to believe that those in Congress hierarchy were unaware of what was going on? Surely there was a system of dividing the booty. So why has the freeloading press suddenly decided to jump on Mr. Arjun Singh? Has it anything to do with Bhopal and Union Carbide? Mr. Arjun Singh has denied any responsibility in allowing Mr. Anderson to flee India thereby indirectly implicating the then Prime Minister. Any smear on The Family is absolutely unacceptable to Congress. Mr. Arjun Singh should have obeyed the law of omerta thereby taking all the blame on himself. Instead he has implicated the capo di tutti capo and all the luparas are out for him. The Congress has parasitised this country for over sixty years and thinks that it has a God given right to do it for ever. In a country where 60% of people are illiterate The Family is presented as royalty and power is genetically transferred. Mr. Arjun Singh has dared to tell the truth, albeit indirectly and he will the rage of the entire gang. Does anyone else have the guts to tell the whole truth?

I do not get it. We are constantly told that India's growth rate is 8.5% for this year but inflation is 10.5% which, to me, means that our real growth rate is -2%. That however is not the whole story. Flats in Delhi which were selling for Rs. 3.4 million in 2001 are now selling for Rs. 21 million, an appreciation of over 600% in 10 years. Against this background the government has raised petrol price by 6% without regard for inflation which would suggest that the government is desperate to raise revenues by any means, never mind the consequences. Our press being freeloading liars we never get the true picture but the reality suggests that the rupee is like confetti and the government is desperately trying to avoid bankruptcy. Yet the rupee which was 55 to the dollar two years ago has hardened to 46 today. The Japanese yen is trading just below 90 to the dollar even though Japan is still in deflation. This despite the fact that China is buying $ 2 billion dollars worth of american treasuries everyday and has accumulated over $ 2 trillion to date. Japan and Korea must also be buying up dollars to keep their currencies from appreciating and hurting exports. What does this say about the American economy? Can China go on buying US treasuries infinitely? What happens if it floats the renminbi and everyone piles into it or it accumulates so much that it has more dollars than the American government? Seems that those in power have no clue and are just waiting for ' something to happen.' Americans must stop spending and start saving but this will hurt US companies as well and unemployment at 10% will get worse. Scary. Wish someone could explain.

Football is not war but it comes second in terms of the loyalty and passion it generates especially among men. Players are treated as stars and receive huge salaries from their clubs, the equivalent of Rs. 10 million a week. Players who are representing their countries at the World Cup in South Africa wear their countries' colors and carry their flags. Each game starts with the playing of national anthems of both countries. Sadly some players seem to have come along for the ride without any loyalty to their flag or concern for their fans. Smaller countries such as Slovenia, New Zealand and Honduras battled away valiantly but unfortunately could not get past the group stage. South Korea, Japan and Slovakia have progressed to the knock out stage through hard work, team spirit and skill. The progress of USA is especially romantic. Down 2-0 against Slovenia they did not give up. They battled to 2-2 and then suffered the heartbreak of seeing their third goal ruled out by the referee for unknown reasons. Against Algeria it was goalless until the last minute of injury time when Donovan scored for a famous victory and a place in the next round. Even Italy fought away to the last kick of the match including a fight with the goalkeeper of Slovakia but their aging bodies could not keep up with their younger opponents. At least they showed some pride. Against this background the pathetic and contemptible display of selfish petulance by the French is sickening. Whether you like the coach is immaterial. You must put in 100% of your effort for your flag. It is not just soldiers who should show loyalty. I hope the French people find some way to really punish these traitors.

So what is happening inside China? Suddenly there is a rash of strikes by workers at foreign factories such as Honda and Toyota. Before that there were suicides at Foxconn which is a Taiwanese company supplying to computer giants such as Apple. Foxconn increased salaries by 30% and then again by 70%. If they are able to double salaries of workers and still hope to make a profit it shows how the workers were being brutally exploited before nine people committed suicide. This is the country where the communist party is in total control and where you would expect a paradise for the proletariat. Exactly the opposite is true. No one has any rights and strikes are usually banned. When children died of melamine mixed in milk protesting parents were beaten up and threatened into silence. When children die of water poisoned by manufacturing companies no one is allowed to cmplain. So why he strikes in foreign owned factories? Are the strikes being organised by the party only against the Japanese? Or has China decided to make it so difficult for foreign owned companies that they sell out to local competitors and move out? This will allow Chinese manufacturers to take over ready made plants along with the knowhow to move up the value chain. Instead of exporting low cost rubbish they will be able to manufacture high end products for export what Lenovo has been able to do after buying out IBM's personal computers division. Saving face is very important to the Chinese because they know that they are a brutal uncivilised people. They want to become the most powerful nation on earth. God help everyone if they succeed.

On the same day that the US started delivering the latest batch of F16s to Pakistan President Obama sacked General McChrystal who was overseeing the war in Afghanistan. Seems that an article in Rolling Stones magazine quoted the general making disparaging remarks about Obama and Vice President Biden. The general had apologised publicly for his error but was sacked anyway. Obama may feel that he is a big boss who can throw his weight around but now that he has freed the general is how is he going to control him. If the war in Afghanistan starts to go sour or if a lot of soldiers are killed, which is a real possibility, then the general could suddenly become a star who had had been sacked by a vindictive president for being right. Having blathered his way to the White House Obama is suddenly finding that action is much more difficult than hot air. The explosion in the Gulf of Mexico was bad luck but he was wrong to think that he could handle it with hot air. On the one hand people are very very angry about the delay in controlling the oil spill, on the other hand they are angry at the moratorium on new wells in the gulf because it means no jobs to be had. His attempts at dumping all the blame on BP, a British oil giant and his intemperate language has made British people unhappy especially as they see no blame coming to US companies such as Halliburten. Being a slave nation the British can do nothing but if they sense unfairness in his handling of BP there could be public pressure to withdraw from Afghanistan. India should cancel Obama's proposed trip to India in protest against supplying arms to Pakistan but we will not. The tragedy of India is that the supine who supported Union Carbide still rule.

The Criminal Bureau of Investigation, CBI has found that health ministry officials connived in granting medical colleges affiliations in exchange for money. Former chief of the Medical Council of India, MCI Dr. Ketan Desai was arrested for demanding Rs. 20 million from a private medical college for granting recognition. Now CBI is investigating over sixty such colleges which were granted recognition in the last three years. The agency has questioned top health ministry officials but has not arrested anyone as yet. The CBI has conducted raids on two medical colleges, one in Bareilly and one in UP, which were denied recognition three times by the MCI but were granted recognition by health ministry officials is exchange for vast sums of money. So what is new about this? Barring an extremely small group of individuals the entire civil service consists of thieves and bandits. Only those with criminal tendencies would want to spend their entire lives uselessly shifting files from one desk to another, being despised by every Indian and having to obey orders from low class criminal politicians. Imagine spending your entire adult life doing nothing constructive, watching colleagues and seniors taking bribes or stealing from helpless people who have come for help, covering up crimes of predatory thugs such as Rathore and bending over to sleazy politicians that make your skin crawl. In the past higher rungs of the civil service attracted good students from all over India but today they come mainly from states which also supply most of the notorious criminals in the country. Of course, no one is going to carry out such an audit.

Although its position is dependent on the spending of fanatical fans FIFA does not care about their enjoyment. Every World Cup they unveil a new ball for the sponsorship money it brings them and every time players complain about being unable to control it. This time seems to be worse than before. When players like Christiano Ronaldo shoots miles above the crossbar from freekicks there must be something wrong with the ball or the way it is introduced. Had the ball been introduced one year back every player would have had time to practice with it but what does FIFA care. Time for governments to kick FIFA around because the money is coming from fans and hence from different countries. The refereeing has been rarely good, mostly ordinary and at times disgraceful. In the match between Spain and Slovakia the Swiss players were determined not to let Spain play. The referee kept blowing for fouls thus recognising the offences but did not issue any yellow card for consistent fouling. Spain lost. In Germany v Serbia the ref was issuing cards for minor offences. Klose was sent off, Germany lost. In Slovenia v USA the ref disallowed the third USA goal which baffled everyone. It was a draw but USA lost two valuable points. In Netherlands v Japan the Dutch beat up the Japanese in the first half hour. Robin van Persie should have been sent off for at least three deliberate, dangerous fouls but the ref saw nothing. Japan lost. In Chile v Switzerland the ref completely lost it. One Swiss player was red carded. Switzerland lost. Finally, ESPN, the official presenter starts with a girl shouting what sounds like ' enapo ' which apparently means ' just do it.' Is ESPN, an american company, helping NIKE, also american, in some ambush marketing to shaft Adidas, the official sponsor but German? Fascinating.

To add insult to injury the Congress led government has formed a Group of Ministers or GOM to decide what to do about the massacre of people of Bhopal by Union Carbide in 1984. The GOM has decided to ask for the extradition of Anderson who was the chief of Union Carbide and who was so ceremoniously escorted out of India as a VIP and to pay out Rs. 9.82 billion of taxpayer money as belated compensation. All this is not being done for the benefit of the people or because their collective conscience has suddenly been stirred. This is an all out effort to protect the brand of The Family on which Congress politicians depend to get elected which gives them the chance to collect huge fortunes. At first they tried to dump all the blame on the then Chief Minister of MP, Arjun Singh. Yesterday Mr. Singh said, ' I have no locus standi on the issue,' which is taken to mean that he had nothing to do with the decision to release Anderson. Now a fellow called MK Rasgotra, who was foreign secretary, has claimed that it was the then Home Minister, Narasimha Rao who had guaranteed safe passage to Anderson. Since Mr. Rao is dead he cannot refute any calumny dumped on him. The Congress is desperately trying to deflect attention any which way from the then Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. It has been betraying this country since the beginning. From the loss to China in 1962, Tashkent, Shimla accord, giving up the Security Council seat to China, allowing China into the WTO for no gain and protecting Union Carbide who murdered Indians. The Congress is the most successful criminal organisation in the world because it controls the government which controls the security apparatus. It will do anything to protect its brand which is The Family.

It is not very often that one is proved so spectacularly right after just a few hours. Yesterday I wrote that England's draw with the USA in the World Cup was mainly because of their midfield and forwards all of whom are highly paid and regularly eulogized as the best in the world. Indeed if English tabloids were to be believed Wayne Rooney or ' our Roo ' as he is so affectionately called was supposed to be the best player the world has ever seen except, perhaps, Pele and certainly better than Maradonna whose infamous ' hand of God ' goal has never been forgotten or forgiven. There were reports of London officials consulting with the various borough councils about arrangements for celebrating the return of the English team with the famous cup. Yesterday the goalkeeper, David James kept a clean sheet but at the other end the Algerian goalkeeper had to do nothing except getting down smartly to one effort from Frank Lampard. Mr. Capello, the English coach used all his front players without any improvement in their display. The only player he did not use was Joe Cole so now English journalists are moaning about his absence. Perhaps they are forgetting that the coach is allowed only three substitutes and anyway even if Mr. Capello had twelve players on the field it would hardly have affected the outcome. Of course, everyone knows more than the coach about what team to put out so I do not want to go there. Still in all the years of watching the Premier League I am yet to be convinced by Emile Heskey. Perhaps Mr. Capello could start with Peter Crouch up front with Rooney. The group being balanced England could still go on and win the World Cup but they would have to improve by 100% to do that.

Everyone in India watches cricket. So sports channels save huge money by showing cricket round the clock and apart from a little football show no real sports such as rugby, boxing and american football. With the start of the World Cup suddenly football experts seem to be crawling out of the woodwork. Read what foreign newspapers are saying find a few famous names from the past such as Jairzinho or DiStefano and suddenly you are qualified to write columns for daily newspapers secure in the knowledge that most people are as clueless as you are. One fat idiot had a go at Robert Green, the English goalkeeper, whose howler allowed the USA to level the match at one all, using adjectives only to be found in a thesaurus. Sure Green made a mistake as all humans do but did he lose two points for England. Certainly not. Before the start of the tournament English papers were confident that Wayne Rooney was capable of winning the cup singlehandedly and the addition of Gerrard, Lampard and others just made it child's play. Messrs Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard earn at least twice what Green earns so should have scored more than the solitary Gerrard effort. They missed all their chances and hence are equally or more culpable. As for the vuvuzellas, they have been described as a part of South African culture by a minister. If a cheap plastic instrument which makes a buzzing noise without tune or rhythm is culture then it is a sorry state of affairs. On the other hand the infernal noise prevents fans from chanting insults at opposite set of fans as well as racial insults and probably prevents fights. So is it good or bad? Anything made in China has to be rubbish.

At last a figure to aim for. BP, after a meeting with President Obama, has agreed to pay no dividends to shareholders this quarter and instead to put $ 20 billion into an escrow account to be managed by an independent third party who will quickly disburse relief to claimants. Since loss of life is vastly more serious than loss of livelihood we should aim for a fund of at least $ 100 billion for the nuclear liability bill. Given India's population density a Chernobyl style disaster will leave hundreds of thousands dead and a radioactive cloud could blow into neighboring countries. Given India's less than friendly relations with all our neighbors there is sure be great clamor for compensation from the country affected. The danger is that if people know that there is a pot of gold waiting there will be an even greater outcry but it is still better to have money set aside to be paid only to proven cases.
On to an amusing story of brotherly love. Seems that brothers Anil and Mukesh Ambani had an unwritten understanding that Mukesh would supply gas at $ 2.4 to Anil for power projects. Mukesh reneged and asked for $ 4.2. This led to a bitter war of words and a court case lasting 5 years. The government sided with Mukesh saying that the gas belonged to it and a higher price would enhance its earnings. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Mukesh and instantly the brothers fell into each other's arms and made up. In the process NTPC, a government owned company which also had and agreement for gas at $ 2.4 got screwed. Seems that the brothers succeeded in making the government screw itself. Brilliant.

Just once in a while, very rarely, the sheer brutality and callous indifference of our government actually saves the country some money. While the rest of the world was panicking about the H1N1 epidemic last year the people loving government was totally relaxed. While other countries were stocking up on oseltamivir or Tamiflu, as it is commonly known, the Indian government banned the sale of the drug so that rich people did not buy up the entire supply and leave nothing for the aam aadmi. So instead of people hoarding the drug the government was hoarding it. People were told to go to designated government hospitals where samples would be sent to government labs and treatment would be given by the government doctor only if the sample tested positive. Since it took about two weeks for the result to be known most patients improved by that time, a few died. No doubt drugs were readily available for criminal politicians and thieving civil servants. Advertisements advised people to wash hands and avoid contact which was breathtaking in its stupidity because most foods in Indian shops are served by hand. Other countries spent billions of dollars in stocking up on drugs and in finding new vaccines. In the event the whole thing fizzled out. The virus was of weaker virulence than seasonal influenza, ordinary flu vaccine gave partial immunity and the vast majority of people improved with chicken soup. Now allegations are being made that the WHO was influenced by drug companies who made a killing by generating panic. Take a bow the Indian government. You saved us a lot of money by not caring how many died.

The Congress led government is very happy at having auctioned off 3G spectrum along with broadband for over Rs. 1 trillion. Our slavish freeloading press is all praise for what is being described as a transparent exercise. Having paid so much money to obtain licenses telecom companies will have to charge their customers very heavily to make any profit. How many Indians will afford the new services remains to be seen. Meanwhile the two government owned companies MTNL and BSNL, who were granted licenses one year ago so that they could get a head start over private companies, want to opt out of 3G services because they are unable to pay the fees. With liquidity sucked out of banks and because inflation is running at over 10% borrowing costs have to go up. So far ministers have been promising lower inflation next day to put pressure on the Reserve Bank not to raise rates because they are desperate for growth to remain high. The reason is that the government is desperate for cash having catastrophically increased spending to win last year's elections and high growth means high taxes. Add to it enormous waste such as ugly statues and meaningless Commonwealth Games and public finances must be dire. Prices are going up on everything from fuel to food to electricity. State governments are adding their own taxes as in Delhi where the government has raised all taxes. Naturally this feeds into inflation. Real inflation can be judged by house prices which seem to have risen 30% since last year. Are we at the edge of a financial precipice about to implode like Greece? Who knows since no one tells the truth.

According to report by the London School of Economics, ' Pakistan appears to be playing a double game of astonishing magnitude. It also says, ' This report is consistent with Pakistan's political history in which civilian leaders actively backed jihadi groups in Afghanistan and Kashmir.' Seems that Paki President, Asif Ali Zardari went to meet Taliban prisoners at a secret prison in Pakistan in April and told them, ' You are our people, we are friends, and after your release we will, of course, support you to do your operations.' What a surprise? It has taken 50 years for white skins to acknowledge what India has been saying all along. Even after 9/11, which was planned and set up by the ISI in Pakistan, they were in denial but now that more and more US and NATO soldiers are dying in Afghanistan they are beginning to realise that they are suckers in Pakistan's games. To get out they must eradicate the Taliban which is impossible without clearing out the safe havens in Pakistan which the Pakis are never going to allow because they are using the pretence of this fight to get more and more aid. To stay on In Afghanistan means loss of more lives and unpopularity at home. So now this report to put more pressure on the Pakis. The reason why nobody listened to India all these years is because of our weak governments led by the Congress. Every time we won a war against Pakistan with considerable loss of life Congress prime ministers returned the gains for nothing. Our politicians think that by being weak to our enemies they become more popular in the world. What they do not realise is that they are despised abroad as they are at home.

Surprised by the furious public response to the verdict in the case of massacre of people of Bhopal by Union Carbide the politicians are energetically trying to protect the Congress. It is not just the Congress and its allies in government that are engaged in this exercise to confuse, dilute and prolong the issue long enough for the public to forget and focus on another outrage which, unfortunately, is a common event in India but also the politicians of the parties in opposition. Our most revered Law and Justice Minister, Veerappa Moily has accused the judges of reducing the gravity of the charges against Union Carbide and its chief, Andersen. The opposition BJP is training its guns on Arjun Singh who was chief minister of MP at the time but are not asking whether he had his orders from the then Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi who had his orders from US President, Ronald Reagan. Seems that when the BJP was in power some five years ago they were not interested in focusing on the case just as they did not want to focus on Bofors. Even more deafening is the silence of the champions of the poor and minorities, the Communists and Ms. Mayawati who has donned the mantle of the Queen of Dalits. One would have expected them to rush to Bhopal and show solidarity with the victims and demand explanations in strident terms but nothing. When everyone is a criminal it is wise to protect your opponents when you are in power because tomorrow you may need the same service. If things get really sticky we expect Mr. Arjun Singh to suddenly develop chest pains and be admitted to hospital and then go abroad on taxpayer money for recuperation until the uproar has died down.

One more scientist has gone missing at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research at Kalpakkam, Chennai. V.V. Radhakrishna, a 37 years old scientist at the Electrical Department has been missing since June 5 according to his wife who is a teacher in Kerala and used to talk to him on the phone at a fixed time everyday. Since then his house is locked and his phone has been switched off. In February another scientist at the same facility, Ananthanarayanan went missing and was later found dead. In between there have been mysterious fires at various departments. In any other country there would have been an outcry about such happenings at such a sensitive place but no such thing happens in India. Journalists in India are freeloading beggars and loath to upset politicians, especially of the Congress, which is in power at the center. Hence there is no aggressive questioning of politicians, police or civil servants. There is no snooping around trying to discover if criminals are responsible or some of our neighbors such as China and Pakistan. After all India is such a hospitable place that everyone is welcome regardless of friend or foe. Today comes the news that Pakistanis living in India for a long time will be allowed to extend their visas with a view to getting citizenship of India. There is no information of whether Indians, especially Hindus, will be allowed reciprocal courtesy in Pakistan. It is not just that India is already overpopulated but that Pakistan is an avowed enemy country as a matter of state policy. As it is we are overrun with illegal Bangladeshis who are breeding terrorists. Now Pakistanis as well. Does the Congress want total annihilation of this country?

Today's front page of the Times of India is dominated by the Congress party. At the top, the ongoing saga of the Union Carbide massacre of people of Bhopal. Some 26 years after the massacre a steady drip drip of revelations is building a picture of Congress complicity in the crime. Those who were officers in the state government at that time are now saying that Anderson was released on the orders of the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Arjun Singh who got his orders from the then Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi who, in turn, got his orders from Ronald Reagan. Who the hell was Reagan to give orders to the Prime Minister of India and why did he obey? Near the middle of the page a photograph of the current Prime Minister, Mr. Singh shaking hands with one Douglas Devananda who has accompanied the President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Rajapaksa on a state visit to India. Seems that there is an outstanding warrant for the arrest of Mr. Devananda from a sessions court in Tamil Nadu for shooting to death one person and injuring four others in Central Chennai in 1986. He absconded and has been declared a proclaimed offender by the court. He should been arrested as soon as he set foot in India or at least Mr. Rajapaksa should have been told that this fellow is not welcome here. Instead he is being greeted with full protocol. Would he have dared set foot in any western country which had an arrest warrant pending for him? Shows the contempt the Congress has for our courts. Next to that picture is the news that Pacheco, minister in the Congress government of Goa is absconding after the death of his friend Nadia Torrado in suspicious circumstances. India is ruled by a gang called Congress.

Seems that President Jacob Zuma of South Africa is a one man comedy show. Apparently his youngest wife, Ntuli became pregnant with the child of her bodyguard, Phinda Thomo while she and Zuma were estranged. Thomo has since committed suicide to avoid traditional punishments that await a Zulu warrior who impregnates the chief's wife. Ntuli was made to apologise to Zuma and had to pay a fine of one goat which was promptly killed and eaten. Many questions remain? Why is it alright for Mr. Zuma to have over twenty children with a assortment of women and wrong for Thomo or Ntuli? This is a man who was accused of raping a HIV positive woman and defended himself by saying that in the Zulu custom it is impolite to refuse a woman who is asking for it. So clearly Thomo could not refuse if Ntuli asked for it. What would happen if Ntuli decided to enjoy herself with a nonZulu? Clearly he would refuse to submit to Zulu justice. Would he have to pay two goats? Which would mean a nonZulu goat herder could enjoy himself at will and just pay the fine. Finally what punishment did Zuma receive for having an illegitimate child with the daughter of a friend? In many countries of the world he would have been killed for such gross act of betrayal and dishonor. However he symbolises a much deeper problem - tribalism which is the disease of Africa. This has resulted in untold deaths from the Congo to Rwanda to Kenya to Zimbabwe. As President Mr. Zuma should have been a model of the modern african. Instead he has reinforced his tribal origin. Tomorrow he will be opening the World Cup. The world will be laughing at him and, by extension, at all africans.

The Union Carbide saga has at last reached its end. Two year jail sentences and Rs. 100000 in fines for the accused. Fittingly the verdict has come when the Congress is in power as it was when the tragedy occurred. It is no surprise that the Congress has allowed Union Carbide to win over Indians and is allowing Dow Chemicals, which bought Union Carbide, to do business here. One Robert Blake of the US Sate Department has hoped that this verdict will bring closure to the victims and will not affect the Nuclear Liability bill. This must be the most brutally callous insult ever. Let me assure Mr. Blake that there will never be closure. Closure is for the victors. As happened after World War II when Germany was occupied by four powers and the Nazis were tried and hanged. Closure could also be possible for North Vietnam, even though they suffered terribly, because they won. Closure is never possible for the losers. It is a wound which will fester for ever especially as the criminal bastard, Anderson is living in comfort in Long Island and will not be hanged. Less than three thousand died on 9/11 and in revenge the your country has taken more than half a million lives in Afghanistan and Iraq. More than 15000 have already died in Bhopal and more will die of the consequences of the crime while the site is still heavily contaminated and you talk of closure. It is another matter that we cannot revenge ourselves on your country because we are weak, because Congress has always betrayed us and because you blackmail criminal politicians with ease. Rejoice your victory but do not insult us with talk of closure. Who knows, maybe some day.

It has been a ' save Iran ' conspiracy all along. Now we learn that Iran is threatening to send Revolutionary Guards with the next flotilla trying to break Israeli blockade of Gaza. So there will be Hamas, Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Guards, Turkish islamists and the usual fanatics from Pakistan, Jordan and maybe Chechenya. It is hard to imagine a more detestable collection of psychopaths in the history of the world. Add to that an assortment of antisemites disguised as liberals from Europe and you have an army Jew haters determined to wipe Israel off the map. Iran has been under great pressure for its covert nuclear program and Ahmadinejad has no legitimacy after cheating in last year's elections. The Ayatollahs have not earned any respect by supporting theft of the elections and then orchestrating the killings that followed. Iran desperately wants to divert attention from its crimes and thus hatched this plot with the Islamic government in Turkey which is miffed at not being allowed to join the European Union. However Israel is not a collection of unarmed women and college students that the Basij can beat up, rape and kill at will. So far the US and European governments have censured Israel for the botched raid on the last Gaza flotilla which killed nine Turkish islamists, especially as Turkey is a NATO member, but if Israelis were to die at the hands of Iranian thugs then the equation might change. Iran is playing a dangerous game of oneupmanship and if it overplays its hand it might start an all out war which it cannot win. Let us hope it is just playing to the gallery at home and is just posturing.

The government has made public holding of at least 25% compulsory for publicly listed companies. Companies will be allowed to sell 5% equity every year until they reach 25%. On the surface it appears to be a good move. It will suck out between Rs. 1.6 to 2.1 trillion from the economy and may reduce inflation by reducing money supply. Since the money will be going to corporate coffers it will be better than increasing interest rates which may hamper growth. The government will be able to raise a lot of money by selling off shares in profitable public sector companies but by cleverly including the private sector it is trying to defuse union anger. This may stimulate more investment in the share market by retail investors and by broadening the base will, hopefully, reduce volatility and market rigging. However the people do not trust the market after having been repeatedly cheated. Ketan Parekh, Harshad Mehta and Ramalinga Raju are not the only villains to have robbed the public. There have been many ponzi schemes such as teak farms, gold coins, and schemes paying 25% interest. Builders regularly con people out of millions by collecting booking amounts on properties which do not exist. Buying a public sector company is risky as the government may allow it to accumulate debt while collecting taxes as it has done with oil companies. With Swiss banks proposing a withholding tax on money deposited there this may be a golden opportunity to repatriate some of the black money through the PN route. Politicians in India are not public servants but feudal bandits who want to hang on to power every which way. Wonder what they are hiding from us?

Our most revered Foreign Minister, Mr. Krishna is in Washington for Strategic Dialogue with the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton to lay the groundwork for President Obama's visit to India in November. Mr. Krishna started his visit by saying that talks will be based on five pillars which, to someone of my generation, is a terrifying thing to say because we still remember Panchsheel and where it led us to. Mr. Krishna is an emissary of the Congress led government which makes the whole visit even more terrifying. Ms. Clinton laid on a dinner for Mr. Krishna at which President Obama dropped in and spouted his usual hot air about how important India is. He announced that he will visit our shores in November as though he will be doing a great favor to India and expecting the natives to genuflect to the half white bwana. The question is what does the US want from India and do these fellows have the guts to hold out for our interests. The US will no doubt push for the waiver to US firms in the nuclear deal. Will our fellows have the guts to point out politely but firmly how much BP is shelling out for the pollution in the Gulf of Mexico? There will be pressure to allow US agricultural products into India especially GM crops. This will allow US companies to control food production in our country and thus make us a colony of the US. Will our fellows stand up to the bullying? Seems unlikely. Our politicians and uncivil servants are criminals and always susceptible to arm twisting. Nothing overt, of course. Just some hints and enquiries about children studying or working in the US. Sadly we Indians will never know as in the Union Carbide massacre.

The government has decided to increase the price of petrol and diesel by around Rs. 3.50 a liter. This is apparently being done so that losses being incurred by oil companies because of ' subsidies ' on petroleum products can be erased. The government increased the tax on petrol by Rs. 2.50 in the budget which means that the money went straight into the pockets of criminal politicians. As on May 31 the price of petrol per gallon in the US was between $ 2.644 on the Gulf Coast and $ 3.024 in California. This works out to around Rs. 30 per liter of which 69% is the price of crude oil, 9% for Refining, 8% for Distribution and Marketing and 14% for Taxes. There is NO subsidy on petrol in the US. Thus excluding about Rs. 4 for taxes the price of petrol at the pump works out to around Rs. 26 per liter. We are already paying Rs. 50 in India and this is set to go upto around Rs. 53 shortly. Where is the ' subsidy'? Why do the criminal politicians and thieving uncivil servants keep on repeating the same lie all the time? The recent auction of 3G mobile and broadband licenses netted the government around Rs. 700 billion and has reduced the fiscal deficit from 6% to 4.5%. Why is the government so desperate for money that it is willing to increase food inflation, which is running at 16.7%, and hurt the aam aadmi for whom it bleeds and who will form the vote bank in next year's assembly elections? Why is the Reserve Bank waiting to increase interest rates to control inflation? Is the Reserve Bank really independent as we are told or is it another lie? All these questions can only be answered by honorable journalists but sadly our lot are just begging freeloaders.

In an article in the Times of India today the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton says that, ' It ( India ) has vibrant democratic institutions, a free press, robust civil society, an innovative private sector and tens of millions of citizens whose talents have yet to be fully realised. ' Not true. Politicians are criminals, uncivil servants are thieves, police are brutal thugs, courts are paralysed, healthcare is unaffordable or lethal, education is in patches and elections are a sham. The press seems to be free but journalists being freeloaders lie all the time. The two leading english dailies are Congress supporters and articles are slanted in praise of the party while seeming to be neutral. Civil society is trying to survive in a hostile environment without roads, power, water and having to pay bribes for every service from a parasitic government. Private sector may be innovative but a lot of energy is spent in cheating customers because people have no recourse other than consumer courts which take years to hear a case. Direct to Home television services are cheating every customer of hundreds of rupees every month by the pernicious practice of bundling whereby if you opt for one channel you have no choice but to pay for several others which you do not want to watch. Tens of millions of people have little talent because teachers in government schools do not come to work even though they are highly paid. The ones with talent or high educational achievement go abroad. Hundreds of millions are continuing to breed like rats without any concern about educating their children. Seems to me that Ms. Clinton is as adept at hot air as her boss, the gasbag.

Seems that Lamborghini is to sell a limited of Murcielago LP 670-4 Super Veloce, its fastest sports car model, in India. At a price of Rs. 36 million there will be plenty of buyers for it. Apart from the usual business men all criminal politicians and thieving uncivil servants can afford that kind of price tag. No sweat. However, my question is ' where will they drive it? ' Sports cars have very low suspensions and will probably have a road clearance of a few inches while roads in India have huge potholes several feet deep. A visit to Delhi highlights the problems Indians face with roads. Delhi is preparing for the Commonwealth games and has built new roads while relaying others. Drive along any newly built road and there are sudden rises and falls for which the driver is completely unprepared. Speed is restricted by the Delhi police to just 50 km per hour which is around 27.7 miles per hour to catch drivers and earn money for the state government. Speed bumps are built anywhere to further restrict progress. These are so high that even SUVs scrape their bottoms if not in first gear. A sports car will probably be stuck halfway and swing up and down like a seesaw. So called highways connecting cities are four lane at most with farmers driving tractors or cattle herders taking herds of cows along to a pasture. Very often lanes are closed for repairs causing huge jams and for this privilege drivers have to pay toll every few kilometers. Of course, politicians and civil servants are exempt. Why we pay road tax, road tax surcharge, huge sales taxes on cars, double taxes on petrol is not known. It is the bullock cart mindset cultivated by the Congress for decades. Tax people into poverty in the name of Socialism.

Israel has begun to release and deport all the people arrested on the ships that formed the flotilla trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza. There are Pakistanis ( Taliban, Al Qaeda, LeT ), Lebanese ( Hezbollah ), Palestinians ( Hamas ), Jordanians ( about 90% are Palestinians anyway. Indian police are looking for a Jordanian who surveyed Mumbai before the attacks ), Indonesians ( Jemaah Islamia ), Algerians ( GIA ), an assortment of anti semitic Europeans and others. These are the people that wanted to deliver a large consignment to Hamas controlled Gaza without any checks whatsoever. Why not ask every Israeli to commit suicide? At least it would be quick and more comfortable. Ever since Hamas has come to power in Gaza it has been cleansing the territory of Fatah supporters who are also Palestinians. Fatah supporters have been beaten up, killed and imprisoned. Hamas is not just a terrorist organisation, it is a band of criminals carrying out Iran's bidding. Pakistan started its support of terrorism to fight India and has now become the terrorist capital of the world. Successive Indian governments led by the Congress has been weak and has converted hard earned victories into defeats. Not so Israel. It has held on to its gains and has negotiated tough peace deals with Egypt and Jordan. If Israel is defeated and a separate Palestinian state is formed under Hamas control then there will be more uncontrolled centers of terrorism in the world. Pakistan, Hezbollah, Hamas, Yemen, the list will go on increasing. The world should be grateful to Israel for keeping the genie partially inside the bottle.

Howling outrage all over the world at Israeli attack on ships trying to break the blockade of Gaza ostensibly to deliver aid to Palestinians living in Gaza. These ships were manned mainly by Turks with a smattering of people from other countries. Israel has been saying clearly all along that the ships would not be allowed to deliver their supplies directly to Gaza because that would go straight into the hands of Hamas, a recognised terrorist organisation committed to the destruction of Israel. Instead Israel asked them to unload the aid at an Israeli port and promised to deliver it to the Palestinians. They were entirely within their rights to do so. Turkey used to be a secular country but the AKP party presently in power is an islamist party engaged in changing the constitution in little bits to effect a creeping islamisation of the state. Israel had to know whether any arms were being delivered to Hamas. Hamas used to smuggle arms in through tunnels across the Rafah border from Egypt but Egypt has installed a deep fence cutting supplies. Hamas must be desperate. The Europeans are especially critical, not surprising seeing the long history of antisemitism throughout Europe. Holocaust denial may be a crime in many countries but the image of Shylock wanting christian flesh still persists. When Paki terrorists killed more than 170 people in Mumbai these same countries immediately advised restraint. When China advises restraint over the killing of 46 South Korean sailors there is no peep out of European capitals but if Israel tries to protect itself then the howling starts. Would Turkey allow uninspected aid to be delivered to the Kurds? If not, why should Israel?
