Rathore molests Ruchika, then 14 years old. When she files a complaint she is thrown out of the Lawn Tennis Association of which Rathore is the president. She is thrown out of school. Her brother, also a teenager, is picked up by the police on false charges of car theft and beaten up. The Girhotra family is threatened. After three years of this torture Ruchika swallows poison and departs. Rathore is promoted to Director General of Police, Haryana and receives a President's medal. What makes Rathore treat the Girhotra's as insects to be crushed underfoot? Why is it his right to molest 14 year old Ruchika and get enraged when she complains? What makes it so easy for him to use the men under him to carry out criminal intimidation of the Girhotra's until a child is forced to kill herself? The reason is that Rathore rose up the ranks exactly because he is a perverted monster. As a junior officer in the police he must have protected his seniors and covered up their perversions. He was rewarded for his loyalty by being promoted. As he rose up the ranks he must have provided the same service to politicians. Thus he used his rank and power to try and crush the Girhotras expecting his friends to protect him. What is terrifying is that they did and he corrupted so many men under him. In our system only he criminal pimps get promoted to the top positions and get honoured in the process.
