In a complete capitulation President Obama accepted everything that Tea Party Republicans demanded so as to be able to increase the debt ceiling and avert a default on US debt. Now, even the New York Times, that used to eulogise him, is calling this " surrender ". One writer said that Hillary Clinton would have made a better president and another said that Obama is just one notch above Jimmy Carter because he got Bin Laden. In one way the Americans are fortunate to have ideological fanatics like the Tea Party loonies. At least there are some people who object to high taxes and demand reduction in the size and spending of the government. Sadly we have no such protection in India. Criminal politicians are unanimous in increasing their pay and perks. The government was able to buy not one but 5 luxury aircraft for useless ministers at a cost of Rs 9.5 billion with not one question from opposition MPs as to why this was necessary. Salaries of MPs was increased by 80% and their discretionary spending increased from Rs 10 to 50 million. Vast hordes of useless, thieving civil servants are paid huge salaries to harass taxpayers and police are employed to guard criminal politicians and beat up sleeping innocent citizens. Meanwhile China is blaming muslim Uighurs trained in Pakistan for riots in Xinjiang province forcing ISI chief Pasha to rush to Beijing to kowtow most humbly. Jihadis have always avoided China because these cowards know that the Chinese will react savagely. Let us see if they have the guts to protect Uighurs or retreat with their tails between their legs.
