On June 11, a journalist named Jyotirmoy Dey was shot to death by shooters on 2 motorcycles in front of a supermarket at 2.55 pm in Mumbai. Mumbai police have no clue as to who carried out the murder or why but speculation is that it was the work of oil smugglers who mix diesel and kerosene with higher priced petrol. This business is so lucrative that the criminals have bought many in the Mumbai police. Indian Police Service officers are required to file details of their immovable assets every year under what is known as Annual Property Returns. Seems that 86 out of 104 officers in Haryana did not file their APRs this year. The list includes 3 Director Generals of Police. Would it be because these top officers are hiding something? Perhaps some of them were trained by the retired criminal Director General, Rathore. This is the kind of police that politicians want. Delhi police arrested 2 shooters for the killing of one Saifi Haider Saifi in UP. The shooters told the police that they committed the crime at the behest of Intezar Abdi " Bobby ", Chairman of Sugarcane Institute in UP, equivalent to the rank of minister. The Chief Minister, Ms Mayawati ordered the police to arrest him. This clearly illustrates how the police are a bunch of puppets under the control of politicians.
