After winning last year's general elections with blatant bribes with taxpayers money the Congress was praying for a good monsoon to bring down food price inflation so that they can continue their lies about caring for the aam aadmi. Vedanta got permission in December 2008 under the Forest Conservation Act and in April 2009 under the Environment Protection Act and proceeded to violate both with impunity. Now, it seems, permission will be withdrawn. All very confusing. Who received what will never be known. Who gave these clearances to Vedanta? The previous government under the Congress of course.
