In their investigation of the CWG scam the CBI is complaining of key files gone missing and lack of cooperation from the Organising Committee, OC officials which is not surprising seeing that the prime suspects, Kalmadi and Bhanot are still in charge and are refusing to resign. Apparently they can only be removed by an act of parliament or by an ordinance passed by the government but the Congress led government refuses to pass such ordinance. Since politicians can only be arrested with the permission of the government, which means other politicians, it appears that Messrs Kalmadi and Bhanot are completely immune from any sort of prosecution or arrest. This is not surprising because seeing the enormous amount of money stolen a lot of politicians must have taken their cuts. Whenever asked Mr. Kalmadi repeats the same answer which is that the OC had a budget of only Rs. 40 billion whereas the Delhi government had a budget of over Rs. 700 billion implying that most of the money must have been stolen by the Delhi government. Is there an implied threat as well? If you dare to touch me I will open the entire can of stinking worms. Maharashtra and Delhi are the two most lucrative governments to control and Congress has been in charge of Delhi for 15 years. The Wide Receiver has given sterling service during this period and the Capo will do anything to protect such loyalty. Sadly the stupidity of the opposition added to a compliant foot licking press has allowed the Congress to divert all attention to the 2G scam. Perhaps the Ndragheta should come and take lessons on how to loot. No sharam, no izzat.
