Apparently, a total of 2,873 criminals were involved in attacking cops and vandalising vehicles. TOI. Shouldn't these criminals have been safely locked up in prison? The Wire. Appalling. Pellet guns cause horrific injuries, especially permanent blindness. "In 2016, Kashmir saw the biggest mass-blinding campaign. Of 12,000 people who were injured, at least 6,000 were hit by pellets during periods of unrest. The foreign media called it an 'epidemic of dead eyes'." "The youngest victim of pellets was one-and-a-half year old child, Hiba." NDTV. Appalling. Pellet guns, or shotguns, are generally used for hunting birds. "With a rifle, we must put a bullet into exactly the right spot, and killing is a question of precision. With a shotgun, the shot charge is spread over a large area, and killing is a question of statistical probability." (Hunting 101).
