APLs and IEDs more effective. Cheaper.

On 22 April 2025, terrorists from Pakistan gunned down 26 civilians at Pahalgam in Kashmir. Of the dead, 24 were Hindu men, one was Christian and one was a local Muslim. "That attackers, armed with M4 carbines and AK47s, entered the tourist spot in Baisaran Valley surrounded by dense pine forests." The Hindus were selected by their inability to recite the Islamic kalima and humiliated by being asked to prove they were circumcised. wikipedia. In response, 2 days back, "India carried out precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure at nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack two weeks ago," as "the strikes conducted with a mix of missiles and smart munitions fired by aircraft and ground forces targeted bases of UN-proscribed terror groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed." HT. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi picked the evocative term 'Operation Sindoor' as the code name for the Indian forces' strikes on nine terror sites in Pakistan and PoK." HT. 'Sindoor' or 'vermilion' is a red powder applied by Hindu women in the parting of their hair as a sign of their marital status. wikipedia. The wives of the Hindu men widowed at Pahalgam will stop applying sindoor, if they were using it in the first place. "Terror mastermind Maulana Masood Azhar said 10 members of his family and four aides died in the Indian strikes on Bahawalpur." They included "Azhar's sister, her husband, a nephew and his wife, and a niece." TOI. Azhar must be familiar with the verse "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image." Genesis 9:6. If he hadn't been hiding like a coward he could have fulfilled God's command and attained eternal erection (wikiislam.net). "On September 18, 2016, the perimeter of the Uri Army Base was breached by terrorists," leaving "18 soldiers dead and 19 wounded." On 2 January 2016, seven security personnel died in an attack on Pathankot Air Force Base. Shockingly, "In Uri, the terrorists merely had to cut through a wire fence and in Pathankot the attack group only needed to secure a rope to the wall and climb over it." The Diplomat. The Indian cricket team refused to play in Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy for security reasons (BBC) but terrorists are free to wander across our border. Pakistan's economy is dependent on handouts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). "The 2024 IMF program is the country's 24th." ORF. The army runs the country and "the most senior 100 military officials are estimated to be worth, at the very least, 3.5 billion pounds." TOI. This confrontation will unite Pakistanis behind the army. In 2019, Mr Modi won a landslide victory in the general election with 303 seats in the Lok Sabha (wikipedia) after the Balakot airstrike following which an Indian plane was shot down and the pilot Abhinandan Varthaman taken prisoner (wikipedia). This year the election to the Delhi assembly has already been won by the BJP and the election in Bihar will be held in October/November. wikipedia. So, instead of wasting enormously expensive missiles and planes why can't we secure the border? India and Pakistan have not signed the treaty to ban anti-personnel landmines (APL) (HT) so we should lay APLs extensively along the borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh. Also we can ask Maoists to supply Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) (TOI) so that not even a mouse can cross over. That will save our people, our soldiers and an awful lot of money. But there will be no photo ops. Big problem.
