The dictionary definition of the word " subsidy " is " a sum of money given to help keep the price of something low " which means that price is being artificially kept depressed. A few days back the price of diesel in India was increased by Rs 3/lit, kerosene by Rs 2/lit and cooking gas by Rs 50/cylinder. Diesel now sells at Rs 41 instead of Rs 37 before the price increase,much lower than petrol which sells at over Rs 65/lit. The increase has been limited to Rs 3 because the government reduced taxes on diesel. Customs or import duty of 5% on crude oil was abolished and the same duty on diesel and petrol was cut from 7.5% to 2.5%. Excise duty on diesel was cut from Rs 4.60/lit to Rs 2/lit. The government will incur a loss of Rs 230 billion due to the cut in excise duty and a loss of Rs 260 billion due to the cut in customs duty. Total loss of taxes will be Rs 490 billion. Experts think that the government will be unable to keep fiscal deficit at 4.6% as promised because of this loss of revenue. Oil company losses will come down from Rs 1.71 trillion to Rs 1.20 trillion that is Rs 511.40 billion. The government has been forcing oil companies to keep prices low even though it has been taking its cut in the form of taxes right at the beginning because it is the largest shareholder of the companies which are run by civil servants. Why it is counted as deficit if the tax revenue falls short but not if the public sector oil companies are losing trillions of rupees has never been explained by the experts. The minority shareholders are the main losers as they will not be receiving any dividends which is blatant cheating. Only a World Class Economist can pull off such magic.

Four elderly Khmer Rouge officials have gone on trial in Cambodia for crimes committed during their rule. His car was torched. TOI, June 26. On June 24, the niece of a journalist, who refused to suppress a report of a gang of sandalwood smugglers, was kidnapped and raped repeatedly by gang members. They mistook the young woman for the daughter of the journalist. The present government in UP came to power in 2007 with absolute majority and the Chief Minister is Ms Mayawati who campaigned on law and order. Her party, the BSP, had 131 candidates with criminal cases filed against them of which 63 won. Of these 33 had multiple charges against them, 6 had been charged of murder, rape, rioting, kidnapping and robbery. Three are listed as gangsters by the police. These scum were deliberately chosen as candidates. Every political gang in India puts up criminals as candidates because they can win by force. The killing fields of India are ready.

Ever since a Toronto police officer said that if women want to be safe then they " should avoid dressing like sluts " every kind of pundit has suddenly crawled out of the woodwork. Women claim that they have the right to dress as they please never mind if it is appropriate to the place, occasion or weather. Feminists are furious that women are seen as sexual objects by men when they should be seen as intellectuals even if showing lots of bottom and boobs. How they dress is their concern and no one else's. But surely you cannot see yourself, so if you are wearing micro shorts and a see through shirt in freezing weather you are obviously trying to grab eyeballs. Recently there was a story of a famous soccer player paying a prostitute 1500 pounds for one night of sex. She then gleefully narrated her story to a tabloid, probably receiving more money. Women have been exploiting men for sex since the beginning of time. That is why prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. Hence a woman in revealing clothes is seen an exploiter and termed a " slut ". However while the pundits bang on about women being seen a sex objects by conservative patriarchal tyrants they seem to have discarded common sense. Sure, rape is a crime but so is burglary, not as terrible as rape, but a crime none the less. That is why people lock their doors, install alarms and have large dogs as pets. Just as it would be silly to say that burglars are terrible people and we have the right to keep our homes wide open so it is silly to say that women should not protect their own bodies. In a world where innocent children are vulnerable it is better to be safe. Bestiality is everywhere.

Fellow called Sandeep Kanwar, son of Nankiram Kanwar, who is Home Minister of Chatisgarh has been buying up land from poor farmers in his state in his capacity as Public Relations Officer of the Videocon group, a large Indian multinational company. ( TOI, June 24 ). According to Chatisgarh law a non tribal person cannot buy land from a tribal without authorisation from the District Collector. Being a tribal himself, Sandeep Kanwar is able to buy any amount of land. The illiterate farmers are intimidated by his VIP car with a lotus flower which is the party symbol of the BJP. The farmers cannot even claim rehabilitation expense from the company because the land was bought by an individual and then transferred to the company. Chatisgarh has a BJP government which charges social activists like Binayak Sen with sedition and throws them into prison for life. Meanwhile in Congress ruled Maharashtra survey maps from 1872-1960 relating to Adarsh ( of the scam fame ) land and surrounding Colaba area in Mumbai have gone missing from the land records office. This was defence land earmarked for building flats for Kargil veterans and war widows but a large multi storeyed building was built instead and sold at low cost to retired generals, politicians and their relatives. The high court is hearing the case for demolition of the building but with so many powerful people involved important documents have gone missing on at least 3 occasions. Meanwhile 2 more rapes have been reported from UP which is ruled by the BSP. Every politician is a criminal which makes every party a gang. Will they ever pass a Lok Pal bill? Hang the lot and start again.

Its deja vu all over again. The European Union and the IMF are demanding severe cost cutting from the Greek government before authorising the second tranche of bailout money to stave off default on its debt. This is the old, failed IMF recipe for any country in economic difficulty. Reduce government expense, if necessary by throwing masses of people out of work, increase taxes and open the economy to outside competition. In practice this makes things much worse. Increase in taxes reduce public spending, increasing unemployment reduces government tax collection worsening its ability to pay off its debts and sudden flow of cheap goods from abroad leads to failure of local industries leading to more unemployment. Argentina experienced this disaster and decided to boot the IMF out, defaulted on its debts, devalued its currency and let economic growth lead the country out of its crisis. Russia did the same. East Asian countries did not want to default so they went through painful adjustments. Having learnt their lessons the Asian countries have built up large reserves to buttress their economies. Greece has no room to maneuver because it is locked into the Euro. If it leaves the Euro the world financial market will go into turmoil but if it does not it will go through decades of poverty. Experts are betting that Greece will have to default at some stage. France and Germany are leading the rescue attempt. Cameron has argued that since Britain is not part of the Euro it should not have to pay. When Greek defaults British Banks will suffer and British taxpayer will be hit. Cameron is trying hard to be a Thatcher. If only he had a handbag.

So, President Obama has ordered complete pull out of US troops from Afghanistan by 2014 against the advice of the military. Ten thousand will return this year and another 23000 next year. Elections are to be held next November so troops coming home to flag waving and bands playing will be welcome publicity. The US abandoned Afghanistan once before after the withdrawal of Soviet forces with disastrous results so there is no reason to think that this time will be any different. Now that they know the date the Taliban will get themselves ready to take over as soon as the last NATO soldier has left. Pakistan is also waiting to get rid of Karzai and install a government which they hope will be friendly to them. Of course, US and European economies being in danger of recession the cost of the war is becoming to great to bear. Unfortunately for Obama the death of Osama bin Laden came much too early. People will have forgotten it by this time next year and it will be the economy which will decide who wins provided the Republicans can come up with a candidate worth voting for. Politicians make decisions just to win the next election without regard for the future. That is why the world seems more unstable everyday. Meanwhile the present Prime Minister of Thailand, Abhisit Vejjajiva has warned voters not to vote for the opposition because that would mean voting for Thaksin Sinawatra, who was deposed in a coup. The charge against Thaksin is that he was corrupt which, in Thailand, seems to be a bigger crime than the mass murder of Red Shirt protesters by the army on Abhisit's orders. Not just our lot, politicians seem to be devious the world over.

In UP 7 rapes in 3 days and counting. A few days ago a man tried to rape a teenage girl and when she resisted he stabbed her in both eyes leaving her completely blind in one eye and with severe injury in the other one. On June 10 the body of a 14 year old girl was found hanging from a tree in the compound of a police station in Lakhimpur- Kheri district in UP. ( TOI, June 14 ) The father of the girl alleges that the girl was gangraped and then murdered to silence her. The first autopsy report ruled it as suicide but the Chief Minister ordered a second autopsy after an enormous public outcry which confirmed that the girl was murdered but could not confirm rape. Clearly the doctors who performed the first autopsy were either in league with the police or threatened by them. Yesterday 2 women returning to Delhi by car along the Dehradun - Delhi highway with 2 male friends stopped at a garage at Vehalna Chowk near Muzzafarnagar in UP. Some 7 men kidnapped them, drove them to a house and tried to rape them at gun point. They managed to escape. The car used by the men had a VIP number plate belonging to a member of the UP assembly. A couple of months back a teenage dalit girl was imprisoned by a UP MLA in his house where she was raped by him and his friends. When her father complained to the police the girl was locked up for 14 days by the police on a false charge of theft by which time all traces of rape had disappeared. Politicians are vile subhuman beasts who think that winning an election by any means guarantees them the right to commit any crime. People follow their example. That is why the Congress will never allow the Lok Pal to control the CBI.

In an article titled " Passport? Failport! " in the TOI of today, one Mr Jug Suraiya writes angrily of how his wife was not allowed to board a Finnair flight from London to Helsinki because her visa was stamped in the previous passport. Mr Suraiya laments the fact that Indians are suspected of attempting to immigrate illegally by every country in the world and thinks this is due to hoards of poor people paying to be smuggled to a western country in search of a better life. He thinks that this is an indictment of the government which has been unable to provide basic necessities to citizens to prevent them from trying to escape. Although right Mr Suraiya is being too politically correct. The reason others treat us like dirt is because our criminal politicians and thieving parasitic civil servants treat us even worse. Even in police states like Saudi Arabia citizens do not have to queue up for immigration check when they enter the country. In countries like Britain even European Union citizens just breeze through while in Delhi, our capital city, foreigners' queue is shorter and they are cleared in a few minutes while Indians have to stand for hours. When politicians travel abroad on official business they take their wives, children and friends along for the fun at taxpayer expense. When they return these criminal beggars do not undergo any search by customs officials and are thus able to smuggle in any quantity of contraband. While we the people never know what these scoundrels have smuggled in foreign governments will have every detail of every purchase. That is why they see us with contempt. That is also why we have to go to Pakistan on " bended knees".

In his speech yesterday, Bashar al Assad, President of Syria blamed saboteurs, conspiracy and foreign powers for the troubles in his country and offered some political reforms, including multiparty elections. This was stale rhetoric regurgitated for the faithful who cheered and clapped in demented manner as he entered the hall and shouted slogans promising their lives in his cause. The question that has always puzzled me is why so many people follow dictators and criminals to keep them in power for decades. Are these people incapable of independent thought and the ability to reason between right and wrong? Are most human beings ruthless predators ready to kill for personal gain? Is a part of the human mind psychopathic which is kept under control in civilised social surroundings but is instantly released by a despot? Most of the brutal dictatorships we see today are in relatively homogeneous countries. Syrians are all Arabs, the majority of Chinese are of Han origin and the Nazi party was all German. That being the case we Indians must be the luckiest people in the world. India has multiple languages and, although Hindu, one part of India is more different from another than France is to Britain. That is why instead of one brutal thug ruling the whole country we have a large number of political gangs controlled by various families where power is passed from one generation to the next. This means that whichever gang comes to power the looting continues. The good thing is that since criminals will fight over loot no one becomes all powerful and we are always kept entertained. No wonder every nation is jealous of India.

"You all want that inflation should come down. Neither the Ministry of Finance nor the has any magic wand to bring down inflation," said Mr KC Chakrabarty, Deputy Governor of the RBI. ( TOI, today ). In other words all these fellows have no clue as to what is going on and what to do about it. Why is the suffering taxpayer paying huge salaries and unlimited perks for such useless fellows? To think that India is run by the Most Famous Economist! Mr Chakrabarty goes on to say,"...Instead of saying that RBI should bring down inflation, we must increase productivity and bring down the cost of services and that will only bring down inflation. Otherwise, it will not come down." Precisely what we have been saying for months. Cut multiple extortionate taxes on services and allow foreign investment in retail. As for increasing agricultural productivity it will influenced by factors such as weather, available land and cost of fertiliser which is dependent on oil prices. One way is to adopt genetically modified plants but that will hand over control of food production and sovereignty to foreign companies such as Monsanto. Much better long term solution is to reduce demand by reducing population and the only way that will happen is if there is no incentive for the poor to have children. 1. Stop all forms of child labor. 2. Make begging illegal. People should not be allowed to exploit their own children to make them earn money. 3. Anyone born after 1995 would not be given state aid if they have more than one child. Female child will get double the aid. Sadly it will not happen. Politicians are criminals and criminals have no loyalty.

On June 11, a journalist named Jyotirmoy Dey was shot to death by shooters on 2 motorcycles in front of a supermarket at 2.55 pm in Mumbai. Mumbai police have no clue as to who carried out the murder or why but speculation is that it was the work of oil smugglers who mix diesel and kerosene with higher priced petrol. This business is so lucrative that the criminals have bought many in the Mumbai police. Indian Police Service officers are required to file details of their immovable assets every year under what is known as Annual Property Returns. Seems that 86 out of 104 officers in Haryana did not file their APRs this year. The list includes 3 Director Generals of Police. Would it be because these top officers are hiding something? Perhaps some of them were trained by the retired criminal Director General, Rathore. This is the kind of police that politicians want. Inefficient, useless and crooked, easy to control and to use to cover their own crimes. This is what the Congress is desperate to protect from the Lokpal bill. Delhi police arrested 2 shooters for the killing of one Saifi Haider Saifi in UP. The shooters told the police that they committed the crime at the behest of Intezar Abdi " Bobby ", Chairman of Sugarcane Institute in UP, equivalent to the rank of minister. The Chief Minister, Ms Mayawati ordered the police to arrest him. This clearly illustrates how the police are a bunch of puppets under the control of politicians. This also explains why the Delhi police brutally attacked sleeping women and children at 2 am to break up Baba Ramdev's fast. The is the enemy of the people. Exterminate the vermin.

The Reserve Bank has oncee again raised interest rates by 0.25% which takes the borrowing rate to 6.5% and the lending rate to 7.5% but is still unable to control to control inflation. Of course, our revered Finance Minister is still repeating that a 9% growth rate is achievable like some demented parrot. However there are indications that growth is slowing. Companies in India are required to pay tax on their estimated annual earnings in advance every quarter, 15% in the first quarter, 30% in the second and third and 25% in the final quarter. The government had hoped for a rise of 25% in tax collections this year but, apparently, companies are paying lower taxes. This is being blamed on rising interest rates and high commodity prices impacting bottom lines. True, high prices of commodities including oil are contributing to but a large part of inflation is due to uncontrolled government spending, high indirect taxes and RBI lethargy allowing an enormous property price bubble to develop. Business confidence has come down to 6/9 from 7/7 previously. This raises the question- why were business men so optimistic in the first place? Could they not see the warning signs all this while or were they repeating what they were told by the politicians? Politicians tell lies by habit and also because they do not want to panic the markets but surely business men should be able to make more realistic predictions? Not just India. China is trying to control inflation, Europe is trying desperately to keep bankruptcy confined to Greece to avoid it spreading to Spain and the US is in low level civil war. The only good news is that petrol will be cheaper if the world collapses.

After promising to pass a comprehensive Lok Pal bill to get Anna Hazare to break his fast against corruption the Congress is refusing to honor any demand. Why is the Congress not worried about being labeled as dishonorable liars? Because, one, they know that people are already convinced of that and, second, the huge mass of illiterate people, their " vote bank ", could not care. So what are they after? Last year the country was convulsed with the exposure of 2 scams. The opposition wanted a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate the Telecom scam but the Congress kept refusing. The entire session of Parliament was wasted but the Congress got what it wanted. By being obdurate they managed to keep the attention firmly on the DMK in Tamil Nadu and protected the Delhi government which was implicated in the Commonwealth Games Scam. True, they were trounced in Tamil Nadu elections but they have protected Delhi and the wealth earned from the CWG scam. The stupid opposition were taken for suckers. This time they are playing the same type of game. They have demanded that the Prime Minister and the judiciary will be outside the ambit of the Lok Pal, deliberately making aggressive statements about how this will create a parallel power structure which is unconscionable. What they are really after is not to lose control of the police and the CBI. Bofors has taught them that no matter what the extent of the crime you will escape justice if you control the investigating agencies. Note how the Police Commissioner has denied beating people which was caught on camera. The Ndrangheta are a bunch of amateurs, these guys are masters.

More versions of " democracy ". Couple of days back the Prime Minister of Thailand, Abhisit Vejjajiva, was at the World Economic forum meeting in Indonesia where he was talking about the coming elections in his country. This fellow became Prime Minister after an army coup pushed out Thaksin Sinawatra, the elected leader and the " Constitutional Court " banned the next elected government allowing Vejjajiva to sneak in. Last year he got the army to murder dozens of Red Shirt protesters and has put others in jail where they are still being held. He issued a chilling warning in Jakarta that if the opposition win they will not be allowed to change any part of the constitution meaning that if the opposition win they will have to toe the army line or will be thrown out again. Of course, Vejjajiva is sure that an army coup, killing of unarmed civilians and holding meaningless elections are all for " democracy". Meanwhile in Greece people are protesting against severe austerity measures being proposed by the government to balance its budget. Greece is in this deep hole because a previous government lied about its debt level to become part of the common currency, the Euro. Surely that fellow should be tried for economic crimes for bringing the country to its knees. It has emerged that $ 6.6 billion dollars sent by the Bush government to administer Iraq were stolen. Apparently cash was loaded onto C 130 Hercules planes and flown to Iraq where it was spent without accounts. Now the Republicans are blaming Obama for the economic mess and refusing to raise the debt ceiling. Forget the mafia, " democracy " is today the refuge for the worst scoundrels.

The word " democracy " is perhaps the most abused word in the world today. It has come to mean winning an election by hook or by crook, mostly by crook, which is then taken to mean absolute immunity for committing any crime that may benefit the winner. A government " of the people, by the people, for the people " is a Utopian dream, even in the country where the concept was first mentioned. In India democracy means casting a vote every 5 years after standing in the open for hours. The choice is between which political gang has promised more freebies at taxpayer expense and distributed free saris or locally brewed alcohol. Once results are announced there is snarling and snapping for ministerial posts like street dogs fighting in a garbage dump. Ministers get offices and billions of rupees with which to make merry. Others fight for the leftovers like a bigger bungalow, Z, ZZ or ZZZ class security or some social scheme which can be looted for personal pleasures. The 3 institutions namely the executive, the legislature and the judiciary are supposed to provide checks and balances but in practice the gang which controls the legislature also forms the executive and the judiciary is too loaded and expensive for the aam aadmi. The proposed Lok Pal is a curative but we desperately need a preventive, a citizen's corporation which will ask questions of the criminals. Why does the Chief Minister of Delhi need to visit Japan at taxpayer expense while increasing taxes across the board? If the answer is unsatisfactory then the politician should be forced to pay back. " By the people " is not enough. Make the criminals work " for the people".

Is fasting against corruption by criminals politicians and thieving parasitic civil servants an undemocratic act of aggression as the Congress is making out? It is, if for 63 years you have been looting the country, treating its people with utter contempt and betraying India by consistently pandering to its enemies. Would drug gangs in Mexico give up drug smuggling without a fight? Would the Ndrangheta give up its lucrative extortion, money laundering and skimming money from government contracts? Would dictators like Bashar al Assad and Gaddafi just give up power? Indian politicians have enjoyed a kind of dictatorship where winning an election was seen as absolute immunity to steal, use public money for private luxury and kill anyone who dared to raise a voice against their immorality. Now the civil society is fed up and want accountability. This is dangerous for the scoundrels as it might expose same of the crimes they have committed and may reduce the power of the criminal families controlling various political gangs. Some 45% of children in India suffer from malnutrition, more than in sub Saharan Africa. Is it not undemocratic for a child to die of starvation related causes? Tens of thousands die everyday because they are unable to afford treatment for serious diseases. A man with acute myeloid leukemia was told that it would cost him Rs 3.5 million for a bone marrow transplant but there would be no guarantee. He chose to die. Dialysis for renal failure costs Rs 10000 a week and few can afford such expense. Most choose to die than bankrupt their families. Are all these people undemocratic? Time to exterminate all vermin.

Some 600 delegates from 40 countries are meeting in Indonesia for a meeting of the World Economic Forum. No doubt India has sent a big delegation of criminal beggars for a few days of fun and frolic in Jakarta. Lots of hot air will be generated about " inclusive growth " and on how to reduce poverty. However, not one delegate will utter the greatest truth staring us in the face and that is that there can be no reduction of poverty unless we reduce the numbers of the poor and that means not just slower growth of population but actual reduction in numbers. Of 1.2 billion people India has 450 million under the age of 18 years. A report released by Bachpan Bachao Andolan says that there are 60 million child laborers in India generating Rs 1.2 trillion per year in black money. They are employed in back breaking labor such as brick manufacturing and dangerous industries such as recycling car batteries and making fire crackers. The charity, Oxfam reckons that food prices will double in the next 20 years from present levels which are already the highest ever ( HT, June 01 ). As numbers of the poor increase more forests are cut down for agriculture increasing CO2 and global warming which in turn will cause extreme weather conditions reducing food production further. So why does no one talk about reducing the number of people. For politicians in poor countries poor people means easy election victory by promising freebies to the poor. For rich western countries once starvation sets in it will be easy to force genetically modified food on poorer countries thus enslaving billions of people to keep whites in luxury. The abyss is ready. The lemmings are queuing up.

Are there similarities between the US economy and that of India? Bush inherited and budget surplus from Bill Clinton and chose to fritter it away on tax cuts for the rich and on an illegal war in Iraq. The Congress inherited a relatively safe economy from the BJP and then gave away 80% salary increases to useless parasitic civil servants, debt relief to farmers and compulsory rural employment to win a second term. The US is now running huge budget deficits and the Indian government is finding it impossible to keep deficit down at 4.6% of the GDP ( TOI, June 11 ). However, the US housing market has collapsed and inflation pressures are low allowing the Fed to keep interest rates low. In India property prices are still at fantasy levels feeding inflation at over 9% and the RBI will have to raise rates still further. Inflation will fall only after property prices have declined by at least 70% but that will take time. Meanwhile the combination of high inflation and interest rates means that people are spending less which will hit tax collections making it more difficult to reduce deficit. More government borrowing to fill the gap in tax collections will only push interest rates higher. That is why criminal politicians are desperate to maintain a high growth rate but with so many thieves stealing billions it will be impossible. Growth of the economy needs electricity which is pathetic. The government set a target of 78000 mw in the entire 11th five year plan period but has managed to add a meager 34462 mw while China is planning to add 100,000 mw every year for the next 5 years. A World Famous Economist / Honest Man and a bunch of criminals is not a recipe for success.

The English press is has adopted an all out attack to protect the government. These Congress stooges have two strategies. The first is to pour scorn on the people protesting against corruption. They have especially chosen Baba Ramdev for vicious mockery calling him a " pretzel contortionist " and casting doubts on the source of his wealth. The second is label all peaceful protests as " extra constitutional ". These same people were so excited by the protests in Tunisia and Egypt. Of the members of assemblies recently elected in Bihar and Bengal around 59% have charges of serious crimes against them. In the US several candidates of the same party go through primaries where party members vote to select the final candidate who then faces off against an opponent from the other party also selected through primaries. In Britain local party members select which candidate will represent them in an election. In India we have " tickets " where the party leaders choose candidates for different constituencies. These people knowingly select criminals because criminals have enough black money to buy votes and the goons to beat up opponents. Thus every political party is a criminal gang. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right and sleeping people are the most peaceful. Using police to beat up sleeping women and children is an act of extreme barbarism. When Rathore uses the police force under his command to terrorise innocent teenagers driving one to suicide he gets just 6 months in prison. Manu Sharma is let out on parole by Delhi politicians to enjoy night clubs. Politicians swear to protect the constitution and rape it daily yet we should not protest. Lying journalists.

How many times can you lie before you are stuck in your own excretions? Britain and the US lied about WMDs in Iraq. Recently Britain and France obtained Security Council support for a " no fly zone " over Libya to protect civilians. This was a monumental lie. A no-fly-zone means preventing the Libyan air force planes from attacking civilians thus protecting them from harm. It does not mean supporting armed gangs by killing Gaddafi's soldiers on the ground and certainly does not authorise attempts to assassinate Gaddafi as NATO planes have been doing. Then there are laughable lies spread by propaganda news channels. The most recent one says that Gaddafi has managed to obtain tons of Viagra like drugs which he is distributing to his troops to encourage them to rape women. Gaddafi is having to live in a bunker to avoid murderous bombing, his money has been looted by western countries under the excuse of sanctions and Libya is incapable of indigenous production. Surely if he is able to buy tons of Viagra from abroad he would have bought food, groceries and oil for his people. The result of repeated lies means that Britain and France can find no support for a resolution condemning Syria for killing civilian protesters. The Syrian army is ruthlessly shooting live ammunitions at peaceful, unarmed protesters under orders from President Assad who is determined to maintain his power at all costs just like his father did before him. In this he is being advised and helped by Iran, which employed similar tactics against protests, after last year's elections. With its economy slowly collapsing Britain may find a no-fly-zone over itself soon. Justice.

Human beings have been cheating on their partners forever, yet the actions of Ryan Giggs, star of Manchester United, are particularly disgusting. A 37 year old football player, Giggs has 2 children with his wife Stacey. He had a 6 month affair with one Imogen Thomas, apparently promising to leave his wife and marry her. When he failed to keep his promise she went to a newspaper with her story. Why? There is no suggestion that she was forced. If she continued to sleep with him for 6 months then she must have been enjoying it. Why then does she want to publicise details of a very private act when doing so will hurt another woman, namely Stacey? Clearly she wants to make money and get publicity from having sex with Giggs which makes her a tart. Meanwhile Natasha, the wife of the brother of Giggs confessed to having an affair with him for 8 years and then fled to Spain. It is hard to comprehend how a man could betray his brother in this manner. However, Stacey says that she does not believe Natasha's story. She believes that Natasha had tried to seduce Giggs and failed and has made up this story to take revenge. Either way Natasha is a most revolting woman. If she really had an affair with Giggs she betrayed her husband and Stacey, the innocent wife. If she has just made up this story she has hurt her own husband who trusted her and Stacey and has surely created lifelong enmity between the 2 brothers. The fact that Giggs is said to be worth 45 million pounds may have been the motive for the actions of the 2 women. Without doubt Giggs has behaved shamefully but this proves that women are the worst enemies of other women. Shame.

In an erudite article in the The Times of India today Sudipto Mundle, Emeritus Professor at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy explains the causes behind high inflation in India. There is demand pull inflation in food prices because of poor supply due to inclement weather and there is cost push inflation in manufacturing because of rising commodity prices. Prices of some commodities such as food and diesel are influenced by government action, paying higher procurement prices to farmers while holding down the price of diesel, cooking gas and kerosene. The professor does not provide any solution to the problem but warns that RBI action to control inflation by reducing demand may result in stagflation. Diplomatically the professor does not mention 2 other factors which could be just as important in causing inflation. First is astronomical and multiple taxes which have a multiplier effect on the prices of goods and services. If your telephone bill is Rs 100 and service tax 12.5% your total bill will be Rs 112.50. If your use rises and the bill becomes Rs 200 then the total rises to Rs 225. The telephone bill includes profit of the company on which it pays corporate tax so you are paying twice for the same service. Secondly, the government runs many social programs for the poor which are, in reality, a means for criminal politicians and thieving civil servants to loot the exchequer. This black money is invested in property. Hence inflation cannot be controlled unless taxes are reduced, demand is reduced by reduction in population and property prices decline by at least 70%. At the Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association ( IATA ) on Monday India was put on the " Wall of Shame " because of high service tax on air travel ( HT, June 07 ). UK imposes the highest tax $ 4.5 billion followed by Germany, Austria and then India which milks $ 450 million out of travelers in " complete contravention of ICAO rules ". IATA CEO, Bisignani said," Taxing aviation does not pay. The Dutch government repealed a $ 412 million departure tax because it cost the Dutch economy $ 1.6 billion." So why do we Indians pay obscene amounts of tax for zero service from the government? First, because the government needs money to pay for the hedonism of criminal politicians and, to pay unnecessarily high salaries to legions of useless, parasitic civil servants. Secondly, astronomical taxes make goods and services too expensive for the poor which then allows politicians to get votes by promising cheap rice, free TVs or cash gifts with taxpayer money. A study by the World Bank ( TOI, May 20 ) showed abysmal efficacy of social schemes targeting the poor. The Public Distribution System reaches just 27% of the poorest quintile, the Indira Awas Yojana reaches 30.7% and the National Old Age Pension Scheme just 32.8%. There is tremendous enthusiasm among politicians for schemes for the poor and elections seem like a bidding process with each political gang promising ever greater waste of public money. Also, most of the money is looted by politicians and civil servants which makes such schemes very lucrative indeed. That is why the government is never going to agree to an effective Lok Pal. Criminal beggars.

Depending on your point of view Baba Ramdev is either a contortionist clown in saffron or a revered yoga guru who is worth an entire Scottish island as a gift. Whatever he may or may not be he is a citizen of India, born in this country as were generations of his ancestors. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right of every citizen in a democracy unless you are in a fascist kleptocracy called India. Ramdev had organised a peaceful protest against epidemic corruption in the country after the shameless liars employed every slimy trick to spike the Lok Pal bill. When they were unable to stop him they sent in the police in the dead of night to beat up sleeping, innocent, unarmed women and children and threw Ramdev out of Delhi, exactly as happened in Egypt and Bahrain. Isn't it terrifying that 63 years after so called independence a foreigner is able to beat up Indian citizens using Indian police paid for by Indian taxpayers? Maybe it was yoga or the saffron color which acted as a red rag. The present Pope has said that yoga is " evil " and Italians are all Catholics. Is that why the Congress is so anti Hindu? It is humiliating for us that we are beaten up for peaceful protest while our government goes on " bended knees " to talk peace with Pakistan after they send in terrorists to kill our citizens. Ben Ali did a runner, Mubarak is under arrest, Saleh is licking his wound in Saudi Arabia and Assad is just hanging on. It is time all Indians rose up to get rid of families especially The Family which has been the foundation of all evil in this country. Oprah Winfrey, the queen of talk shows has finally quit after 25 years. Tributes have been pouring in from all over. Saw a few minutes of one of her shows many years ago. It was the most embarrassing and cringe making scene I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Two couples were competing to reveal the most private events of their lives and marriages. Why any human would want to reveal their innermost selves to the public is a mystery to me. To that extent I think she was a prelude to Facebook. Teenagers defend their " SPACE " fiercely and often aggressively. Yet they reveal every little detail about themselves on Facebook. Why? We humans live behind walls. We construct elaborate closed spaces for different purposes and shut ourselves behind doors. The toilet is where one is alone. The bedroom is shared with a partner. The living room is for the whole family. We put in an enormous variety of impediments to deter any stranger from entering our home, allowing only people we know to gain access. Every person, especially those who watch Winfrey or use Facebook, has grown up behind walls from the first day of life. Yet here they are exposing every private detail to the world. Are human beings becoming dumber? Is it possible for evolution to go backwards, from humans to apes to rats? A trainee pilot from the middle east fell asleep for 55 minutes at the controls of his plane which flew itself 250 km to Adelaide in Australia. Congress politician Mr ND Tiwari had to resign as governor of Andhra because of a video apparently showing him with 3 ladies in undress. A man in his eighties who can simultaneously entertain 3 sturdy ladies has to be a very great man indeed. Unfortunately seeds do germinate. In Mr Tiwari's case, a 31 year old man, Rohit Shekhar claims that he is a biological but unacknowledged son of the great man. He has gone to court to be recognised as such. Having spent a lifetime in the Congress Mr Tiwari is accustomed to doing whatever he likes without ever having to account for his actions. He has, therefore, vigorously contested the charge. The case has been dancing around the courts, as cases do in India, even reaching the Supreme Court. Finally Mr Tiwari was ordered to provide a blood sample for DNA testing on June 01 to disprove the claims of Mr Shekhar. However, come the first of June Mr Tiwari refused provide a sample saying, " ... nobody can be pressurised to give evidence in this manner." This is not just your average contempt of court. It is an arrogant rejection and total humiliation of the entire judiciary. The judge should have given an ex parte judgement against Mr Tiwari or sent him to jail for an indefinite period to be released as soon he provided a blood sample. But the judge did neither. Instead he has scheduled a hearing on July 07. Why is he wasting time and taxpayer money uselessly. Is it because Mr Tiwari is a Congress politician? Judges keep complaining of overload of cases but keep prolonging cases endlessly. This causes cases to pile up and criminals like Sukhram to roam around free. Be brave. Hammer the bastards.

It has long been a mystery why the so called " free " press, especially the English newspapers, are so docile. Why are they so respectful towards politicians, even the most repulsive criminals. Why did they not campaign against the systematic hounding of Tehelka to bankruptcy. Why do they bang on about how clean and wonderful the Honest Man is when he is an accessory to all the crimes which are being slowly exposed because he knew about them but did nothing thus actively covering up the crimes. Seems that the government has been running an abomination called a " wage board " which fixes salaries for newspaper industry employees at unviably high levels enforceable by law. According to the latest recommendations of this " wage board " drivers and peons working for newspapers will have to be paid Rs 45000 per month, much higher than what engineers, bank officers and teachers earn in the private sector. No other industry has such an anvil hanging round its neck. This is clearly intended to cripple and control the press so that it does the government's bidding and does not dare to challenge the criminal politicians and thieving parasitic civil servants. The villainy of these scoundrels in unending. It explains why policies seem to benefit western countries than Indians. When you have a Bofors you will have a Union Carbide.

After getting Anna Hazare to break his fast by promising a comprehensive Lok Pal bill to curb corruption the Congress led government is trying to reduce the powers of the Lok Pal so much that it will be just a useless talking shop. First various politicians tried to malign the activists by spreading lies and innuendos about their character. Then a CD suddenly appeared containing conversations between politicians and activists apparently discussing money but this was proved to be a fake. Now ministers have demanded that only civil servants of the rank of joint secretary and above will be accountable to the Lok Pal and not the Prime Minister, MPs inside parliament even if accused of bribing others for votes, the judiciary, the CVC, the CBI, defence personnel and departmental investigative agencies. In short everyone except come 200 high ranking civil servants. Can any human being be so utterly shameless? Which citizen ever gets to meet a joint secretary who sits in a remote office and goes around with armed police? Our dealings are with clerks who collect bribes and this goes up the chain. Suppose you buy a house for, say, Rs 5 million, a large sum in India. When you try to register it in your name at the municipality you will be asked to pay thousands in cash. If you refuse your file will suddenly disappear and you will keep running from one fellow to another forever. If you help the police to arrest the crook he will be merely transferred and you will be marked as a trouble maker. Without registration you cannot get electricity or water connections so you continue to pay rent. We are helpless. Hang all the criminals. Let us start afresh.

Is China doing to the US what the US did to the Soviet Union? Seems that the expense of military operations in Afghanistan cannot be sustained any longer because the US has no money. The US military expense will be $ 113 billion this year and $ 107 billion next year ( HT, June 01 ). Increasing government debt and increasing deficit means that it will be difficult to justify such huge spending in another country while cutting jobs and social spending at home. One senior official said," Where we're at right now is simply not sustainable." Another said, " Money is the new 800-pound gorilla. It shifts the debate from ' Is the strategy working?' to ' Can we afford this?' When you view it that way, the scope of the mission we have now is far, far less defensible." Shows how sliding economy is going to impact America's military might and global hegemony. China is quietly doing its bit to hasten the slide. By keeping its currency, the yuan, pegged against the dollar it is able to flood the US with cheap goods thus earning billions more than what it imports. China then uses this surplus to buy dollars which keeps interest rates low in the US thus encouraging people to buy more Chinese products. The US is helpless because any attempt to reduce the value of the dollar will increase prices and fuel inflation. China is buying up massive amounts of commodities such as oil, iron ore and coal from other countries pushing up commodity prices which impacts US business. China is also curtailing exports of rare earths and forcing foreign companies to produce in China which will increase employment and transfer of knowledge. Nothing the US can do except kow tow.

Babulal Agrawal, an IAS officer in Chhattisgarh has been accused the Income Tax department of owning illegal assets worth Rs 2.53 billion. He and his family have 473 bank accounts and have floated 30 companies in the last 11 years. While we have to provide photographs, proof of identity and address to open an account of Rs 1000, politicians and civil servants can open any number of accounts without any problem whatsoever. In Mizoram, the state Chief Secretary, Vanhela Pachuau is accused of withdrawing Rs 467.6 million from state treasury against " false bills before actual commencement of approved works ". The money was supposed to be for developmental projects along the border with Burma. His defence is that work cannot start unless he has money but apparently the money went to private individuals instead of to laborers or suppliers. Meanwhile the Forest Department in Maharashtra has told the Chief Minister and the central Environment Minister to push off. As per the Forest Rights Act of 2006 villagers are permitted to harvest forest produce but forestry officials want to control the trade in bamboos which is some Rs 100 billion per year. Even though bamboo is classified as grass all over the world the forest department in India classifies it as wood and denies people the right to cut and sell it. Such is the impertinence of these scoundrels that the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests has written to the ministers warning that despite any act of parliament they will not allow people to cut bamboo. ( TOI, April 27 ). Perhaps we should all become Naxals and start hanging the bastards. No other way of clearing the filth.

You, are assured of completing two terms as Prime Minister but are you willing to go away even though you will be at least 80 years old? Word is that you are angling for the post of President or to be seconded to a prestigious international posting. The country has been divided into regions controlled by families just as in Italy where various mafia families have their own territories. Elections are merely turf wars where boundaries are readjusted. Governors, Rajya Sabha, even sports bodies, every institution is corrupted by criminal politicians or thieving parasitic civil servants. There is no respite or escape for us who suffer the consequences. Nothing happens to them. Serbia has decided to sacrifice Ratko Mladic to the kangaroo court at the Hague. Rightly so. Mladic is an ex soldier and will understand that he is expendable in the larger national interest. The Americans do not recognise the ICC but an international arrest warrant will mean that they will never be able to travel outside the US while Blair, Cameron and Sarkozy will at least have to fight desperately if they are to stay free. Meanwhile all 27 nations of the European Union have unanimously backed Frenchwoman, Christine Lagarde for the post of Chief of the International Monetary Fund following the resignation of Strauss-Kahn caught in a honey trap in the US. The developing countries have criticised the move which they see as a relic from the colonial days but cannot unite. The whites have fought savage wars forever but unite against what they see as the " other." That is why they are still able to loot us.

Member of the Legislative Assembly of Gopalganj in Bihar, Ramsevak Singh has been arrested for assault. Seems that his brother's wife contested an election for the post of Mukhia of the local panchayat and lost. First his bodyguards assaulted 2 relatives of the winner, then they beat up Vishal Singh and Rakesh Dubey, took them to the MLA's house and poured petrol into their rectums. The two were rescued by a local police team. In UP, one Amir has been arrested for for selling a teenage girl into prostitution. Local police refused to register a complaint when they learnt that Amir is the brother of the local MLA. Parents of the girl probably paid Amir to bring the girl back from Delhi, where she had been taken, and then complained again whereupon the police arrested Amir. A senior IAS officer from UP, Shankar Aggarwal has been accused of illegally building a 3 storey building on government land and cutting down several protected trees from a nearby wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand government is writing to the UP government to take action because IAS officers cannot be arrested or prosecuted without government permission. An IIT student, Piyush was stopped at Dadar railway station by some policemen who searched his belongings without any warrant and accused him of having pornographic pictures on his cell phone. He had to withdraw money from an ATM to pay them of when they threatened him with arrest. When IIT authorities took up the case the money was returned with an apology. Politicians, civil servants and police in India are all criminals. When the state is the enemy citizens are helpless.

An 18 year old school girl, Krittika Biswas, a student of John Browne High School in New York, was handcuffed, taken to a local police station, denied water and bathroom facilities and threatened imprisonment with HIV patients and prostitutes to force her to confess to a crime she did not commit. A Chinese student had been sending obscene mails to 2 teachers of the school containing abuses in French and Krittika was arbitrarily arrested and brutally treated only because she has French as a subject. The US has been quick to say that families of diplomats do not enjoy immunity but this is not about that. This is about proper investigation, giving a young girl chance to meet her parents and treating her with common human decency to be expected from a school and police. Not allowing water and bathroom facilities is pure torture inflicted to obtain a false confession. Yet US citizen Raymond Davies coolly murdered 2 men and was magically found to be a diplomat after the event. No wonder American helicopter pilots were laughing while hunting innocent Iraqis killing a Reuters photographer in the process. No action has been taken against the Chinese student probably because China holds $ 1 trillion of US treasuries and could inflict real pain unlike our government which is led by the best Prime Minster the US could have. Every month one student from India is murdered in the US and no one is charged with the crime yet Pakistan which continues to kill US soldiers is given money and arms. Probably because the president is named Barack HUSSEIN Obama. Is it any wonder that the US is hated all over the world. The end of an empire is bloody.

Taxes, we are told, are of 2 kinds - direct and indirect. Direct taxes come from individual income and corporate profits while indirect taxes come from customs, excise, sales tax, value added tax, education and road cess, all kinds of surreptitious add ons that we are not often aware of. Direct taxes are paid by salaried and low income people. Politicians, civil servants and police earn mainly from bribes and loot which, being black money, is not taxed. Companies avoid taxes by sending 2 trucks out through the rear gate for every one truck that exits the front gate. Customers buy products at prices which include taxes which the company has not paid and this is shared with police, inspectors and politicians. Thus, the more the economy grows the more is the growth of black money feeding inflation. Indirect taxes add to inflation and price goods and services out of the range of the poor. Poor people are human and would love to live in a house with air conditioners, own a car and fly out for a holiday but these are deemed luxuries and taxed out of their reach. Surely all taxes are not bad, such as those on alcohol and cigarettes? Western countries show that increasing prices result in decrease of consumption thus improving health. That does not happen in India. High cigarette prices force the poor to smoke bidis, take gutka and khaini which are infinitely worse. When beer costs Rs 100 a bottle it is much better to buy a half bottle of local hooch for Rs 60, enough to make you unconscious. The poor drink to forget their miserable existence, unable to improve because of taxes. The politicians love the poor so much that they keep them poor by high taxes. Fatal love.

A day of ironies. Beset by problems at home President Obama flew to the slave country, Britain. Britain was heavily involved in the slave trade but there he was in Buckingham Palace being humbly welcomed by the Queen who reminded him of the " Special Relationship " between the US and Britain, that of master and slave. Then a meeting with another man in deep trouble with his economy, David Cameron who is trying to divert attention to another bogey man, Gaddafi just like Blair did before him. Cameron would have wanted permission to continue the illegal bombing of Libya killing 3 of Gaddafi's innocent grandchildren as well as other civilians in order to save civilians. White man truly speak with forked tongue. While this charade was going on, back home Binyamin Netanyahu was speaking to joint houses of the Congress getting standing ovation after standing ovation. Having already trashed the concept of going back to 1967 borders with Palestine Netanyahu categorically declared that undivided Jerusalem was going to be the capital of Israel. He also said that Judea and Samaria were always Jewish land and Jews are not invaders. Then he went walk about with his wife. It is infantile to think that an independent Palestinian state will bring peace to the middle east. Pakistan is breeding terrorists 63 years after independence to inflict a " thousand cuts " on India, with US support. While Obama was making this impractical suggestion David Headley was telling a court of how the ISI had planned the attacks on Mumbai just as it had planned 9/11. Bernard Shaw that that half the Americans are fools. The other half believe in the tooth fairy.

Our most esteemed Home Minister said recently," We live in perhaps the most troubled neighborhood in the world. In this neighborhood there are countries with governments that are extremely fragile. All of this increases the threat to our security and independence." He was referring mainly to Pakistan which is supported by China. With the greatest respect to the minister our greatest danger comes from within, our politicians. Time and again we have handed back gains made by the extreme sacrifices of our ill equipped armed forces without any returns. In 1965 we handed back land won from the Pakistanis when our forces were sitting on the banks of the Ichogil canal in Lahore. In 1971 we handed back 80,000 Pakistani forces for nothing. We denied refueling facilities to Israeli planes when they wanted to bomb Pakistani nuclear facilities allowing the Pakistanis to make more nuclear weapons than us, jeopardising our very existence. After the Mumbai attacks we go on " bended knees " to talk peace. With China we recognised Tibet as their territory thus allowing them to claim Arunachal Pradesh. We refused the offer of a seat at the UN Security Council, eagerly accepted by the Chinese who are now creating so many problems for us. We allowed the Chinese entry into the WTO without any returns. Time after time our politicians have allowed our enemies to kill Indians, to violate our land, to support criminals in India and harm our interests internationally. Now the minister promises " the best training, the best technology and the best working conditions " for our security forces. But is it not already too late?

India seems to be full of millionaires. If a 2 bedroom flat in south Delhi costs Rs 20 million then there must be people ready to pay that kind of money. Who are these people? Half the cost of the flat must be paid in cash or black money and, say, another 10% by check while the rest is paid over 20 years through a housing loan. This means that Rs 12 million has to be paid up front. A man earning Rs 1.2 million a year cannot save more than Rs 0.5 million a year after paying income tax, rent and cost of daily living. He will, therefore, take 24 years to save Rs 12 million before thinking of buying a flat in Delhi. There cannot be more than 10 million people in the whole of India who legally earn Rs 1.2 million a year, that is less than 1% of the population. So where is the demand coming from? In the Times of India of May 20 we learn that assets of Members of Parliament standing for re election in 2009 had gone up by 289% in the previous 5 years while in the same period investment in gold gave returns of 138%, mutual funds gave 67%, Sensex gave 64% and fixed deposits gave 46%. In last month's assembly elections members had increased their assets by 195% in Tamil Nadu, 187% in Assam, 175% in Kerala and 71% in West Bengal. Then there are millions of useless parasitic civil servants whose salaries were increased by up to 80% in 2008 and earn millions through bribes and theft. Shopkeepers pay no tax. When asked them to pay a nominal tax of Rs 1500 a year not one responded. Farm income is totally tax free which is why lots of politicians are " farmers". Which is also why the RBI cannot control black money. Fact.

In a speech a couple of days ago President Obama asked for dialogue between Arab regimes and the opposition. He advised them that " mass arrests and brute force are at odds with the universal human rights " of citizens. While he was lecturing " stupid " Arabs the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was saying, " We have made it clear to people around the world that if we locate someone who has been part of the Al Qaeda leadership, then you get him or we will get him." Meaning that the US has the right to violate any country's sovereignty, invade the territory of any country it pleases and murder anyone it sees as Al Qaeda without having to prove it in any court of law. We have to remember that both Obama and Clinton are lawyers and should therefore have knowledge of international law and protocol but deliberately choose banditry as their main option because the US thinks it has a right to commit mass murder of genocide, as it has been doing since Hiroshima, because no country is militarily strong enough to challenge it. Obama also wanted a Palestinian state based on pre 1967 borders but this was flatly rejected by Bibi Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel. Note how many times Obama boasts of being the Commander in Chief of this here US of A without having served a day in the army while Netanyahu has actually served in the Israeli army. Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, RBI Mr Subbarao said that April inflation figure of 8.66% is still too high ( Times of India, May 18 ). The figure for February was 8.31% but has been raised to 9.54% while that for March has been raised to 9% from 8.98%. The RBI is hopelessly behind the curve even though it has raised interest rates 9 times since March 2010. It started with rising food prices last year after a poor monsoon in 2009 but has now spread to the rest of the economy because the the government, led by the World Famous Economist, was boasting of high growth rates and predicting 9% growth. Petrol prices have been raised by Rs 5 last week to Rs 65 a lit and diesel and cooking gas prices will also have to be raised adding to inflationary pressures. Any idiot would say that inflation is being fueled by astronomical rises in property prices and indirect taxes being raised by various states. Delhi lost billions of rupees in the Commonwealth Games scam and is desperate to raise money. Tamil Nadu already has debts of Rs 1 trillion but Ms Jayalalitha, the newly elected Chief Minister, has already announced 35 kilos of free rice for the poor, Rs 50000 marriage present for women and a free mangalsutra . This has clearly been done without any thought of balancing the budget. Bengal has a debt of Rs 2 trillion. Meanwhile the RBI has asked banks to increase provision for bad loans from 10% to 15%. Bad loans are those that have been non performing for 1 year. Ordinary people in India never default on housing loans because half the amount is paid in cash. The bank probably foresees speculators and property developers defaulting. Nice mess.

Our elite investigating agency the Central Bureau of Investigations, CBI has done it again. Two CBI officials went to Denmark on May 16 to assist in a court hearing on Kim Davy with a warrant which had expired in January. Kim Davy is one of the suspects in a bizarre event when a Latvian Antonov An-26 plane dropped weapons, including AK-47 assault rifles, anti-tank grenades, million rounds of ammunition and other weapons onto fields in Purulia in West Bengal on December 17, 1995. The officers must have been so eager to go to Denmark, see beautiful girls and enjoy themselves at taxpayer expense that they forgot about papers. We remember Bofors where our sleuths had a wonderful time running to the most expensive cities all over the world. Our law enforcement agencies are not for investigating crimes or protecting the country but to harass honorable citizens and protect criminal politicians. Yesterday a Hindu lady returning from Canada, where she had gone for a short visit was stopped at Delhi airport immigration for one hour because the immigration fellow did not stamp her passport when she was leaving. No other country, including police states like Saudi Arabia, force citizens to go through immigration check as in India. Politicians travel with family without any checks while this lady, who is a born citizen of India and has been travelling for years, was humiliated for no reason. White skins, Pakistanis and " Minorities " are not treated like this. A " Minority " accused of being involved in Mumbai bombing is out on bail and living with family while Aseemanand is denied bail. Our politicians will do what foreign invaders could not- finish Hindus.

Another conspiracy. Today's Times of India quotes Liberation, a French daily, which has published off the record comments made by Mr Dominique Strauss-Kahn on April 28 where he feared that one of his opponents would pay a woman to accuse him falsely of rape. Apparently he said that he imagined " a woman who had been raped in a car park and who was offered between 500000 and 1000000 euros to make up such a story." Well, it was not a woman in a car park but a hotel chambermaid who came to the US from Guinea in Africa just 7 years ago and would be easily coerced by the threat of deportation. The US would definitely prefer right wing Sarkozy, with his delusions of Napoleon, rather than an intellectual Socialist as president of France. That is why any bail, even with electronic tagging, will be strenuously opposed so that Strauss-Kahn cannot contact his friends to try and find the truth. On another front, it seems that George Bush and Pakistan had come to an understanding that once Bin Laden's whereabouts were discovered the US would kill him and Pakistan would object vociferously. This agreement was renewed in 2008. So the present slanging match between the US and Pakistan must be play acting. Politicians like the dark where they can plan their intrigues and play their little games which give them a false sense of being above the people. We saw how Obama was so puffed up with self importance as he announced the death of Bin Laden. That is why they hate sites like WikiLeaks which, by exposing the truth, show us how petty they really are. As long as knaves have power there will be conspiracies. Fellow called Gen ( retd ) James Jones, former US National Security Advisor, has said that the world, the US in particular, is lucky to have Mr Manmohan Singh as Indian Prime Minister who has taken personal risk to avoid confrontation along the western border. Absolutely not. He has risked India's security and the lives of Indians at no personal cost at all. Since he does not stand for elections, having sneaked in through the Rajya Sabha, his seat is safe. By going to talk to Pakistan " on bended knees " just months after the Mumbai attacks he has signaled our weakness and encouraged future such attacks. So the question is not of risk but what he has gained from selling India to US interests. What has he been given or promised. Since independence the US has helped Pakistan against India. While sanctions were heaped on India after nuclear tests Pakistan continued to receive advanced arms and defence technologies which they have used again and again to kill Indians. Even today after Pakistani lies have been exposed by the death of Bin Laden, just 50 miles from Islamabad, the US government talks of engaging Pakistan. Why? Why this ingrained hostility and enmity towards India? Yes, Nehru led the non aligned movement, which by its very nature did not take sides, and followed a stupid socialist philosophy but India has never been a threat to the US or any other country. So why does the US help actively in killing Indians? Jones said, " If we need to come to some agreements about what happened or didn't happen 10 to 20 years ago let's get beyond this." Is he intentionally stupid? It is happening even today. And our Prime Minister is helping.

Immediately after results of elections to assemblies in 4 states were announced the government raised the price of petrol by Rs 5. Apparently the price should have been raised by Rs 10.50 for oil companies to break even so companies will continue to lose money. Ordinary petrol costs around Rs 65/lit at pumps in India while in the US, where it is uncontrolled, it costs $ 4/ gallon or 3.78 lit which makes it Rs 50/ lit. Diesel is cheaper by Rs 20 while kerosene is cheaper still allowing criminals to adulterate one with the other. Raising the cost of diesel will raise inflation instantly, which is at 8.66%, impacting the poor. The only solution is to lower excise and taxes on petrol and diesel so that they are at the same level as kerosene and then decontrol them fully allowing oil companies to raise and lower prices in line with international prices. The government does not dare do that because revenue collection will fall and deficit will get out of control. Also customs and excise officials oppose any reduction of excise duty because they get a bonus on the amount of money they collect. Oil companies are owned by the government so it has to pay for their losses. Thus the government is losing money anyway but cannot control inflation because of taxing oil products at different rates. Stupid. The good news is that Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia may be appointed director of the IMF. We wish him extreme good luck. With two world class economists, Mr Manmohan Singh and Mr Ahluwalia, running the economy it is already in intensive care and gasping to survive. If only one man is left maybe the damage will be halved. We live in hope.

At first it was another Dominique. Dominique de Villepin was tried and cleared of allowing false charges of paying bribes in a sale of warships to Taiwan against Nicolas Sarkozy in the Clearstream affair. Unfortunately, for Sarkozy his popularity kept plummeting. Then Gaddafi gave him an opportunity to show how macho he is by ordering his air force to illegally bomb Libya while himself hiding in Paris. Laurent Gbagbo was an even easier target because he had lost all international support for refusing to accept his defeat at general elections. A few bombs on his palace and Gbagbo could be slapped into submission. Still such remote controlled virility was insufficient to improve poll ratings so something had to be done at home. Seems that Carla Bruni, his much experienced wife, is pregnant for the first time at the age of 43 years. He has achieved what a lot of men have failed to do in the past. If she is indeed pregnant she will deliver at the beginning of 2012 just before the presidential elections reminding the people of what a potent weapon Sarkozy has. Then suddenly the jackpot just fell into his lap. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, his most probable opponent in next year's elections, has been charged of sexual assault by a maid in a New York hotel and is under arrest. Surely Mr Strauss-Kahn has a diplomatic passport in which case he should be immune. If Raymond Davies can kill 2 people, albeit Pakistanis, in cold blood and the US forces Pakistan to release him by claiming diplomatic immunity in retrospect surely a little sexual assault is not of much consequence. Sarkozy is indeed a lucky boy but will Lady Luck hang around till next year?

Mammals are the highest form of life because they learn from others and from their own mistakes but this axiom seems not to hold in the case of white skinned humans. They keep acting in the same stupid manner time after time without learning anything from past debacles. The US has been supplying Pakistan with F 16s, night vision goggles, smart bomb equipment, drones and other military equipment as bribes to fight terrorists. Pakistan has used military aid not only against India but to arm terrorists to kill US and NATO soldiers. Pakistan must also have supplied all this technology to China which is determined to enslave all of Asia and control most of the mineral resources in the world. Now, in an effort to kill Bin Laden, who was a creation of the US, they have left behind a helicopter with stealth technology which the Pakis will share with the Chinese increasing the danger to all countries in Asia. Meanwhile NATO planes continue trying to assassinate Gaddafi while denying they are doing so. They must think that we are stupid enough to believe their lies when they have murdered one of Gaddafi's sons and 3 innocent grand children. They have no idea who the rebels are or whether they are being led by Al Qaeda or the Hezbollah but they are blinded by their hatred for Gaddafi. Rami Makhluf, cousin of Al Assad has warned that if there is no stability in Syria " there's no way there will be stability in Israel ". Iran is immensely stronger because Saddam was removed, Egypt looks like becoming another Pakistan and Hezbollah is running Lebanon. Cameron knows the UK economy is in for a free fall and wants to divert attention. Idiots.

Results of elections to state assemblies in four states are in. In Assam Congress rules again, in Kerala a coalition led by the Congress beat the Communists by a slender margin, in Bengal CPM, the Communist party, which has ruled for over 30 years, was routed by Ms Mamata Banerjee's Trinamul Congress with absolute majority while in Tamil Nadu Ms Jayalalitha surprised experts by demolishing that nest of vipers, the DMK. We hope that the 2 ladies will liberate the police in their states and allow them to bring the criminals in the CPM and the DMK to trial and be jailed for very long terms. The results also mean that India is now being ruled by women. We have Mamata Banerjee in Bengal, Jayalalitha in Tamil Nadu, Sheila Dixit in Delhi, Mayawati in UP and Sonia Gandhi, who is the most powerful person in the country, because she controls the spineless Congress which runs the central government. Will this change the lot of women in India? Sadly no. Women leaders are as corrupt as men and apart from pious speeches borrowed from western feminists have done nothing to improve living conditions of poor women. If poor people had less children it would instantly improve quality of life of women. Since UP has the highest birthrate one would have expected Ms Mayawati, who prides herself for being a Dalit, to promote small families as a means of social and economic improvement. One would expect her to teach people that women have two X chromosomes and so cannot choose the sex of their children. We still read about mothers being killed for giving birth to girls. Women are their own worst enemies. That is a sad fact.

The Supreme Court dismissed a petition filed by the CBI seeking to restore harsher charges against accused in the Bhopal tragedy which took place in 1984. In recent months we have seen a succession of people of Indian origin being sentenced to long prison terms in the US for offences such as sexual harassment and excess billing of Medicare but when Union Carbide slaughtered thousands Andersen was escorted to the airport by senior Congress politicians and the company escaped with a token compensation. Filing such petitions now is a cynical attempt by the ruling Congress to pretend it wants justice and an insult to the dead and dying. Meanwhile crown prince Mr Rahul Gandhi courted arrest in UP by sneaking into Bhatta Parsaul to join farmers agitating against the UP government on the back of a motorbike. He has since been released on bail. Trouble with Mr Gandhi is that he is squeaky clean which makes everyone suspicious about his ability to survive in the slime of Indian politics. Even though he is seen as royalty by invertebrate Congress footlickers, lives in a bungalow worth at least Rs 3 billion, gets Z class security, and has dimples there is not one iota of scandal regarding him. No case of land grabbing, no violation of foreign exchange regulation, not even a little orgy with minor Bollywood bimbos. Contrast this with veteran Congress leader ND Tiwari who starred in a video with 3, yes 3, naked ladies at the age of 80 years and is having to provide DNA sample in a paternity claim. Getting politely arrested and bailed out is wimpy. To succeed Mr Gandhi must get a reputation. Take lessons from senior Congress fellows. Good luck.

Bin Laden's death has created a lot of controversies. Former ISI chief, Hamid Gul believes that Bin Laden was not in the house but the Americans are claiming to have got him because that gives them an excuse to get out of Afghanistan. Others claim that the raid was led by Tom Cruise and will be shown in the tenth sequel of Mission Impossible. I believe that Bin Laden was captured alive and has been handed over to the Republicans to be tortured. He is having to listen to Bush telling him how he thought that Afghanistan is in Iraq and WMD was Saddam's initials. Rumsfeld is asking him all about known unknowns and unknown unknowns. Cheney keeps inviting him to come and shoot some birds. Newt Gingrich is driving him crazy with jealousy recounting how many babes he pulled without having to drink Avena syrup. John Boehner keeps breaking into tears hearing of how many times Gingrich scored. Donald Trump keeps insisting on seeing the long form of his birth certificate. Sarah Palin is trying to teach him how mama grizzlies grunt while giving birth and the mating call of a moose. Tea Party jihadists are showing him how they will give tax cuts to the wealthiest americans while cutting education, medicare, government employees and all government spending. Bin Laden will be left wondering why he was wasting his time and money trying to kill a few hundred americans when he could have destroyed the lives of millions by joining and financing the Tea Party. That is why President Obama is refusing to release pictures of a dead Bin Laden. Because he is being reditioned. Diabolical.

Sushil Suri, owner of pharma company, Morepen Lab is to face trail for forgery and cheating as directed by the Supreme Court. He had taken a loan from Punjab and Sind Bank to buy new machinery but diverted the funds to other uses as is common in India. He then used forged papers to show purchase of machinery to claim large depreciations on his tax. His lawyer argued in court that since he had repaid his loan on time and the bank is not a party to the complaint so there is no case to answer. Suri must be feeling aggrieved because this is standard practice in India. That he forged papers to show purchase of new machinery and cheated on his tax by claiming false depreciation on machinery that did not exist would not seem a criminal or immoral act to him because everyone is doing it so why pick on him. Not fair. Meanwhile the former chief of the Securities and Exchange Board of India or SEBI, CB Bhave allowed tens of thousands of fake depository accounts to be opened in December 2008. This would have allowed crooks to corner the market in Initial Public Offerings which followed. An NGO filed a Public Interest Litigation in Delhi High Court which rejected the charge and fined the NGO Rs 50000 for filing a frivolous case. The SEBI board tried to shield Bhave by closing its investigation but now the court has asked SEBI to reopen it. The government has embarked on a project to force a Unique Identity card with biometric details on every citizen. When every politician and civil servant is a criminal what is the guarantee that someone's identity will not be sold to a criminal or terrorist? India has never been in such danger.

Seems that the Prime Minister's Office, PMO has written to the Sports Ministry to ask the CBI and ED to investigate the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee,OC for " irregularities " in organising the Games as pointed out in the Shunglu committee report. Why? The Supreme Court is already seized of the matter and has instructed the two agencies to work without fear or favor. Everyone knew about the blatant loot before the Games were held in September of last year so what has taken the PMO so long to wake up to the fact. Fact is that the Comptroller and Accountant General,CAG had reported serious misconduct while auditing the OC's accounts for 2007-2008, three years ago. The CAG talked of " no proper guidelines in regards to maintenance of records ", " camouflaging of figures in accounts " and " a serious lapse of internal control". This is as explicit and damning as the CAG can get. Why does the PMO have to direct these agencies to investigate? Does it mean that CBI and ED are controlled by politicians and civil servants who are all criminals? Why specifically the Organising Committee of the Games? The OC, after all, had budget of Rs 25 billion while the Delhi government had a budget of Rs 700 billion and was responsible for building the infrastructure which was collapsing even before the Games started. Is this an effort to protect the " Wide Receiver "? Meanwhile the CBI is having to send officers to Mauritius to investigate one of the scams. Let us hope we do not have a repeat of Bofors which lasted for years and required our sleuths to run all over the world including St Kitts before filing for closure. Buy them girlie magazines. Member of the Legislative Assembly in UP, Shekhar Tiwari has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a government engineer, Manoj Kumar Gupta on December 23, 2008. Tiwari's main business was extortion and he wanted Gupta to pay for celebrating the Chief Minister's birthday which Gupta refused. Enraged, Tiwari planned to implicate Gupta in a false case of sexual assault with the help of the local police officer, Hoshiyar Singh. However, on the night of December 23 Tiwari got drunk and determined to teach Gupta a lesson. Next morning Gupta was found dead. All witnesses were threatened into silence except another engineer called Rai who has been suspended on charges of buying Rs 10000 worth of unauthorised equipment. Rai has since retired and is not being paid any pension. He has not been seen for 18 months, most probably because he is in hiding to save his own life. This case is a clear illustration that the entire Indian establishment is criminal. Tiwari had 14 cases registered against him but 10 of these cases could not be proven because the police cooperated with him and witnesses were silenced. He was chosen by the BSP to be a candidate for election, not by mistake, but with full knowledge precisely because he had the goons to silence opposition and could collect funds through extortion. After murdering Gupta he was able to frighten every witness except Rai who was then suspended by his own department on some unproven charge. He should have been hanged because he can continue his crimes from jail and may be freed on parole by his party. Politicians, police, civil servants, all criminals. This is India.

In spite of using massive force the Syrian government is finding it difficult to control anti government protests. From demanding reforms protesters are now demanding a regime change. Syria has cut the internet, is not allowing foreign journalists and its army is using tanks to attack its own people. All tactics learnt from Iran, with which Syria is particularly close, but whereas Iran was successful in suppressing its revolt Syria seems to be failing. The difference maybe that God was on Iran's side in that it is an Islamic Republic ruled by Ayatollah Khamenei who is also called Supreme Leader. Since only God is supreme it means that Ahmadinejad has God on his side which Assad does not. Iran also has a paramilitary squad of thugs called the Basij militia who are allowed to beat up anyone, rape and murder. Assad could also learn from China which changed the dictionary to stop any protests. The Chinese government deleted the word " jasmine " from the vocabulary which quickly brought all protests to a halt. If you cannot have a name for your protests how can you write articles, print pamphlets or energise your supporters? However, prevention being better than cure India has to be the world leader in how to enslave its people, loot the exchequer in the name of development and pass on power from one generation to the next. Political gangs have divided the country into zones of influence with various families fighting for control rather like Italy where the mafia has done the same. Every few years an expensive joke called " elections " is played on us where we are forced to choose between gangs and then we go on as usual. It is called " democracy ".

Milking it for all its worth Obama laid a wreath at the 9/11 memorial site in New York yesterday. One African- American woman was waving a US flag while chanting " Obama got Osama, Obama got Osama " over and over. Meanwhile Pakis refuse to believe that the Americans actually killed Bin Laden unless they are shown his picture. Some say that Bin Laden had died two years back and the Americans, having just found out, are claiming the credit. The Pakis, having been thoroughly humiliated, have resorted to snarling at India. Mad dogs will do that. Sadly our traitors are already saying that we need to go on talking to Pakistan. No we definitely do not. Why, when we spend millions of dollars on defence, are we so weak? About a week back a helicopter carrying the Chief Minister of Arunachal, Dorjee Khandu went missing. Two Sukhoi fighters were deployed for mapping the area and 35 columns of army were used to search for the remains. When advanced fighter jets are being used to look for missing politicians is it any wonder that we have to talk peace on " bended knees " with our enemies? These same traitors are determined to allow the French company, Areva to build a European Pressurised Reactor at Jaitapur in Maharashtra. This is a new technology which has not received regulatory approval anywhere including in France. The first such reactor was being built in Finland but is hopelessly behind schedule with costs already more than double the initial estimate. The obscene haste and strong arm tactics of the Congress seem extremely fishy. Berlusconi is friendly with Sarkozi and such a large order needs suppliers. Are we sacrificial goats?

The propaganda channel BBC showed unconfirmed pictures of young men in Syria lying on the ground, their hands tied with wires, being beaten by the police. This was supposed to be evidence of the brutal repression of pro democratic protests by a hated regime. The pictures, however, looked strangely familiar. Arab men, hands tied with wire, being beaten by men in uniform. Flash back to Baghdad in 2003 and these could be Iraqi men being kicked by US soldiers before being taken to Abu Ghraib and photographed naked by US perverts. The US can kill, kidnap, rape, poison, torture and imprison while Britain and other white countries applaud from the sidelines. It is all done for world peace and to free the locals from bad dictators. Meanwhile the International Criminal Court is deciding whether to issue arrest warrants for certain Libyan officials who they think are guilty of crimes against humanity. Started with great fanfare the selective justice of this institution makes it another weapon in the armory of the white man to legitimise attacking other countries. Just as the Security Council supports US gangsterism across the globe so the ICC provides the necessary fig leaf to European governments to attack weaker nations. If Charles Taylor or Gadhafi are to answer charges of crimes against humanity then so should George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Tony Blair and all other American and British fellows guilty of genocide in Iraq. The US is also guilty of unimaginable stupidity. Humiliating Pakistan while supplying more aid will only will make its army more determined in helping terrorists. Seems that Bush is not the only moron.

At last the Reserve Bank of India, RBI got up its courage and increased interest rates by 0.5% yesterday. This increases the Repo rate at which banks borrow from the RBI to 7.25%. The sudden increase in courage may have been caused by panic as the government is scheduled to increase retail petrol and diesel prices after elections in some states are concluded. Again this should have been done weeks ago at the start of the Libyan crisis but was cynically deferred so as not to harm Congress chances in the elections no matter what it does to the finances of the oil companies. Any rise in fuel prices will instantly cause a rise in inflation, especially food prices as fruits, vegetables, milk, fish and meat are all transported by trucks. The other reason for the sudden courage of the RBI may be because there are rumors that Mr Subbarao's tenure as governor may not be extended for another two years as promised before. The government is solely focussed on growth in GDP and a high rate is touted as a badge of honor. However, a growth rate of 9% with inflation at 12% is actually a negative growth of 3%. Much better to have a growth rate of 6% with inflation at 2%. The RBI must bring down inflation to 2% and hold it there by keeping interest rates high. Property prices must be brought down to 30% of present values and not allowed to increase by more than the rate of inflation. This will keep black money out of the economy allowing healthy growth, affordable housing for everyone, low rents and increased savings. One would think that the greatest economist would never allow inflation to be out of control. Trouble is he only thinks of his buttocks. On gaddi.

So, Osama bin Laden sleeps with the fishes. Apart from a few hairy moments in Tora Bora he had a great life. A millionaire, he was living in a $ 1 million villa, served by his two loyal servants, Kayani and Pasha, entertained by a succession of wives and so feared by the Americans that, even in death, they gave him a proper funeral and dumped him into the sea. Americans are rejoicing for killing their one time ally who was responsible for the deaths of a few thousands. Now the world should demand the same for Bush, Blair and their comrades who were responsible for the genocide of hundreds of thousands in an illegal war in Iraq. What of Pakistan? This whore of a country allows itself to be violated by a Saudi Arabian bin Laden, an Egyptian Zawahiri, Pashtun Taliban from Afghanistan and Americans who fly in armed Navy Seals, attack a house just a couple of hundred yards from their military academy, execute a sick man with a couple of women and a courier and fly out with prisoners and bodies of the dead without bothering to take permission. When it was all over Obama phoned Zardari to tell him that his country had been violated and there is nothing he can do about it. It is the old saying about rape - if you cannot prevent it just lie back and enjoy it. This is because Pakistan is a bankrupt beggar nation existing on handouts from the US and the IMF. They have been spending enormous sums of money on a rapacious army and in training and arming terrorists to inflict a " thousand cuts " on India. Instead they have inflicted a billion cuts on themselves. Now Zardari is having to claim credit for helping the US to rape his own country. Impotent nation.

The Federal Aviation Administration or FAA has been taking action when it emerged that air traffic controllers were falling asleep at their posts. Managers have been replaced and the whole system is being shaken up to prevent repeat of such incidents. In India pilots with fake mark sheets have been licensed to fly after paying bribes of Rs 700,000. Flying is an ordeal in India. Ticket prices are too high because of taxes up to 35% on air fuel. The developer of Delhi and Mumbai airports was illegally charging domestic passengers Rs 200 per ticket and Rs 1300 for foreign flights. The Supreme Court has ordered that to stop. Further misery is being caused by a strike by pilots of the domestic part of Air India demanding parity of salaries with pilots flying foreign routes. In spite of a court order the pilots are still on strike after 5 days. Air India is government controlled which allows criminal politicians and thieving, parasitic civil servants to fly free with wives, children, friends, servants and, who knows, may be even mistresses and toy boys. The airline has accumulated losses of Rs 130 billion, employs 40000 at a ratio of 243 employees to each aircraft as opposed to the industry average of 150 per aircraft, earns Rs 210 million/ per day while spending Rs 570 million losing Rs 360 million per day and each plane flies for a paltry nine hours per day. One would think that pilots would have some shame when they are already among the highest paid in the country while working so little but sadly Indians have learnt from politicians and have lost all sharam and izzat. Since the strike is illegal they should all be sacked but then how will politicians fly for free.

India is perhaps the only country in the world where the word " elite " is used as an abuse. The pseudo secular, pseudo intellectual english press has been especially scornful of the support Anna Hazare received for his fast in favor of a Lok Pal bill. Freeloading journalists have, with scant exceptions, dismissed supporters as selfish elites, page three socialites or confused middle class out of touch with poor of the country. At the same time they are effusively complimentary about our Dear Leader who has blithely allowed thieves to loot the country calling it " coalition dharma." He is constantly referred to as " squeaky clean " and " scrupulously honest." The argument is that it is undemocratic to resort to fasting in support of a cause as it is political blackmail. Why is it wrong to blackmail an accessory to adharma. The press should ask the Dear Leader's daughter the definition of the word " accessory " in the US. One woman has quoted Gandhi's words, " Democracy is an impossible thing until power is shared by all but let not democracy degenerate into mobocracy." So let the criminal politicians loot, lie and disrupt all investigations but the people should meekly respect the scum as leaders. Lincoln's words were so much better when he said that the constitution should be " dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal " which should be protected by a " government of the people, by the people, for the people." Two lawyers but such different views. Is it any wonder that India has no one of world class in any field because to be " elite " is to be shunned. When the fourth estate works as the fifth column the danger is great indeed.
